In order, open with Kent State at home, then Towson State at home, first SEC game Miss state at home, Bama on the road, UK at home, UF on road, bye week, Tenn at home, at Oklahoma, A&M at home, at Arkansas, UGA at home, and Clemson on the road.
UPC had a beatable team this year. Next year, who knows?

Bama, Clemson and A&M were all winnable games this year if we had a semi-competent offense.

Predictions are now impossible since we are getting a total offensive makeover.

I can say, if there is little offensive improvement, we could be looking at a 4-5 win season. Projections go up from there based on how much the offense improves (if it does). This is assuming the defense doesn't wildly regress.

UK two years in a row at home. Gift for scheduling UGA week before Clemson? Of course UK should be winnable on road typically.

We SHOULD start 3-0. Beyond that, hard to say. I'd put UK, UF and Arkansas in the "winnable" category. Clemson, who knows? We keep waiting for and expecting them to be better, but they haven't been. This year we would have beaten Bama and A&M if we had a competent offense.

I liked the one patsy being before the Clemson game, but with the 9 game conference schedule, we had to lose one of those.

Still, I'd like to see us start with a patsy (installing new offense) and have that second patsy mid season. For a little break in the schedule.

9 conferences games now and one bye week? Wonder if that’s the norm or if that’s just how the calendar worked out for next year.

Glad there's only one bye week.

UGA early would be much better. They are traditionally a slow starting team under Kirby that gets better as the season goes on. Swap Towson with UGA, get UGA early and have a cupcake before Clemson.

I see 5 wins baked in, Kent, Towson, UK, Miss St. and Arkansas. UF breaking in a new coach could get us to 6 without much effort.

Impossible to say UK,UF and Arkansas in a winnable category. All will have a brand new staff, with a brand new approach to both offense and defense.
Nothing in CFB remains static.

For the longest time, UGA was usually our second game of season and many times first SEC matchup of the season.

Well, sure. But I don’t think anybody would be terribly shocked if you had a crystal ball and saw that we were going to win those games. They are all about the same category as we are, and I am sure they all look at our game as winnable.

Might as well schedule a few NFL teams. One could have a good team and still go 6-6 with that schedule. o_O

Well, it's really nice to see all the positive posts about our schedule.
I don't think it's quite as daunting at this year's schedule.

We should win Kent, Towson and MSU.

I would say UK, Arkansas, UF and Clemson could all be winnable games. Of course, the first 3 are breaking in new HCs, so it's up in the air what they will look like. But None of these would be considered upsets at this point.

That leaves UT, UGA, Bama, OU and A&M. We COULD have beaten Bama and A&M this year if we had a competent offense.

Way too many changes for us and some of the others on our schedule to even make wild predictions at this point, but I wouldn't be shocked to see 7-8 wins. I also wouldn't be shocked to see 4-5 wins.

At least there's no brutal gauntlet like we had this year, though we do play UT, OU and A&M in a row.

Looks like we have UK's old slot versus UGA, as a potential late-season spoiler.
UGA has been playing cupcakes in week 11 for a few years now. They have usually been coming off of the meat of their SEC schedule and want a cupcake before the Georgia tech game to rest starters.

Getting them late is two edged sword. Maybe they will have some injuries but Kirby's teams tend to get better as the season goes. Of course, it also means no tune up game before Clemson.
