Back from PA and listened to Byers for the entire Session 3. I thought I would miss watching it on TV, but listening to him call the matches is its own kind of joy. The suspense when you can’t see it, and then his call can’t be beat. I must have looked like a lunatic punching car and screaming when he called SVN’s winning takedown!

We went from reading results in the newspaper or huddling around a radio, listening to matches because the TV only got three channels if the rabbit ears and aluminum foil were turned just right to watching all eight mats at once on a streaming app. Us boomers are pretty darn adaptable!
Damn right! I get sick of "old people are idiots when it comes to technology" crap. But, I still WANT YOU OFF MY LAWN!

It was somewhat guilt by association with his HS teammate Facundo.

Both shot straight-on in HS. Facundo didn't adapt and couldn't create offense, and went 0-2 at RSFR nationals. Could a HS/club teammate with a decade of the same training change in ways Facundo couldn't?

Barr put those concerns to rest, and then some.

Barr also just has that dawg in him.
Fun fact, Facundo, Barr, and Cotton were all on the mats at the same time today ... pretty cool for Davison HS

My high-school-senior kid is on the speech and debate team. Her team goes to the middle school to train the middle school kids. This week, she said “those middle schoolers are cooked”. I asked what cooked means. She said that she worries for them. She took away their phones and iPads for the first time ever, and they literally were having withdrawal symptoms and could not function. Less than five or six years different in age, and those kids felt like a different species!

******* A, talk about beating a dead horse. The Davis bashing is on another level. Has he had his issues, yes. Has he done everything asked of him and more? Yes! God forbid someone else goes down next year, I for one hope Davis sticks around to man the spot. If not him then redshirt year in the room and be ready to go like all the other room guys.
Ok done.

So ... if I am seeing this correctly ... if Zack Ryder keeps winning and Rocco loses in semis, they could conceivably (all right, there's your GIF fellas) battle each other for 3rd place.
That would liven up what has been a tedious event.

My 14 and 11 year olds can have a phone when they can purchase one (and pay the bill) themselves. We have a family GABB phone that they take when they leave the house without us, mostly for my wife's sanity. It's quite "interesting" watching a group of teenage girls come to my home to hang out and never say a single word to each other (because they're all on their phones).

I won’t lean towards his groin, but I hope it isn’t serious
Pore Dan Monthly will be earning his money this afternoon.
Great news everyone. Thanks in part to this thread, BWI has awarded me the "Addicted" trophy for my 1000+ posts. I would like to thank my wife and daughter for allowing me to be a horrible husband and father this wrestling season as I have spent far too many hours on here : )

He went from being The Man... to just another whiny clown.

I appreciate what DT has done while at PSU, but many others have surpassed him here. But he was the beginning of what we enjoy now.

Although ill argue Ruth was all that and more.
Ruth was historically great, David was the face of the birth of the dynasty.

By the way, Q's pin in the SF was the proclamation the King's dynasty had arrived!!!!

Perry has not shown he is near the same level.

True freshman Perry went 5-2 at a single open, facing one single starter with a losing record (Perry lost). True freshman Davis was the B10 champion and #1 seed at NCAAs.
Man can hope lol
