125 SF - #1 Lightning Luke Lilledahl vs. #5 Troy Spratley (OKST)

Period 1:
Here we go! Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Spratley shoots, but Luke fights him off. Luke drops in on a leg & shelves it, then trips Spratley to the mat & finishes the TD, 3-0. Both wrestlers are very active. Spratley gets an escape, 3-1. Tying up & hand fighting with some snaps. Heavy hand fighting. Spratley with a half shot. He drags & tries to come behind. Luke counters & gets a leg. Spratley grabs an ankle as he rolls. Luke catches him on his back & is getting swipes. Luke gets the TD, 6-1 & 2 NF, 8-1. Stalemate & restart. Officials are off to the table. They've decided to review their own call. No brick was thrown. The refs upheld their own call & we're back to action. Spratley starts down. He works to a quadpod, then his feet & gets the escape, 8-2. Spratley shoots, but Luke blocks him off. Tying up & hand fighting in the center to end the period. 8-2 Luke

Period 2:
Spratley takes down. He works to a quadpod, then his feet & gets the escape, 8-3. Tying up & hand fighting again. Spratley with some head clubs & the ref stops it. Tying up & hand fighting again. Spratley with a half shot. Spratley with another half shot. Back to tying up with heavy hand fighting. Luke takes a half shot. Spratley takes Luke to the edge. Luke shoots, but can't get there & time expires.

Period 3:
Luke takes neutral. Circling, hand fighting & tying up. Spratley is a little more active now. Both take half shots. Lots of heavy collar ties & hand fighting. Spratley takes Luke to the edge & shoots. Luke circles away. Stalemate & restart. Tying up & hand fighting again, 1-min left. Spratley pushes forward taking Luke to the edge. Luke reaches for a leg, then gets to it. Luke dumps Spratley on his butt. He keeps working, but runs out of space. Out of bounds & restart. Spratley locks around the head & tries a throw, but Luke blocks him off & time expires.

You can see why guys don’t shoot on Luke, anyone that opens up against him is going to get picked apart.
100%. To beat Luke you don’t shoot and make him initiate offense. If you attack he will kill you with his reattacks

Keys for MB... Don't stop doing what you were doing just because you lost the last one. Keep doing the things YOU do. MAKE HIM make the mistakes. Trust your scramble, you are as good as Jax at it, but you don't use it. Don't let him get a leg then hold it as a time eater. Keep the match FLUID

McGowan called his dual meet with Princeton where he got stalled out probably the most embarassing match of his career. Said he's excited to face Lilledahl and get a shot at redemption.

133 SF - #3 Marcus Blaze vs. #2 Ben Davino (OHST)

Period 1:
Here we go. Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Davino tries a 2 on 1 & pushes Blaze around the mat. He takes Blaze to the edge & drops to a leg, but they go out of bounds, neutral restart. More tying up & hand fighting for a while. Blaze snaps & reaches for a leg, but Davino fights him off. Tying up & hand fighting again. Davino with a half shot. Blaze presses forward a bit. Blaze tries an underhook, but Davino fights him off. Davino with a half shot. More tying up & hand fighting to end the period. 0-0

Period 2:
Davino takes down. Caution on Blaze. Davino pops to his feet, but can't get hand control & Blaze takes him out, restart. Davino is still down. He pops up & gets the escape, 1-0. Back to hand fighting & tying up. Blaze snaps & works into a front headlock. Stalemate & restart. Blaze pushes forward & then drops in deep on a leg. He elevates the leg & tries to trip Davino to the mat. He can't get the far leg. Davino rolls & gets an ankle. Blaze counters & they go out of bounds, no scoring. Blaze presses forward off the whistle. He snaps & tries to come behind, but non luck. Blaze takes Davino to the edge. Tying up to end the period. 1-0 Davino

Period 3:
Blaze takes down. He pops to his feet, but can't get hand control. Davino lets him go, 1-1. Back to tying up & hand fighting. Blaze presses forward. He snaps & reaches, but no luck. Davino reaches for an ankle, but can't get there. Blaze pushes forward taking Davino to the edge. Blaze shoots, but Davino circles away. Out of bounds & restart. Blaze presses forward again. He reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Tying up to end the period. 1-1

SV:
Blaze steps forward. hand fighting & tying up again. Blaze takes Davino to the edge. Davino circles back to center. Davino shoots, but Blaze circles away. Blaze brings Davino back to the edge. Davino shoots, Blaze counters & there's a flurry of action. Out of bounds & restart. Davino with a half shot, Blaze counters, but nobody scores. Blaze reaches for an ankle, but can't get there. Davino shoots & gets to an ankle. Blaze counters & is doing the spoits. He rolls & OHST throws the brick. No points were awarded & I'm not sure why action was stopped, but we're under review to see if Davino should receive a takedown. That was close. Davino was in deep. Challenge lost, score stays 1-1. Back to action, neutral restart, 14-sec left. Tying up & hand fighting for the rest of the period.

TB1:
Davino takes down. He pops to his feet. Blaze drops to a leg. Davino rolls, but Blaze stays with him. Out of bounds & restart, 14-sec left. Davino is still down. He pops up & fights for the escape, 2-1. Blaze has 21-sec RT & the period ends. 2-1 Davino

TB2:
Blaze takes down. He stands, but can't get hand control. Davino locks around the waist. Davino gets a stall call, 2-2. Blaze rolls, but Davino stays with him & rides out the period for the win.

Wait, PSU is challenging something & we're under review. Long review. Challenge lost, score stays the same. Davino wins.
