Hah @El_Jefe, one of the worst, butt hurt Buckeye posters clearly lurks over here and quoted you (I think he now says “Pedro State” since the alternative might not be kosher anymore by their mods - interesting coming from a campus with pedophile/sex trafficker Lex Wexner’s name all over it, but I digress)

LMFAO now the Pedro State board is blaming Blaze's lost on the fact that he is from Ohio...Can't make that stuff up.
"He's from Ohio...a state notorious for underdeveloped mat wrestlers"

Hey, DeGaz, your coach is a double-digit IQ simpleton and routinely ruins great recruiting classes. Hope he gets a lifetime contract.
They can laugh at me all they want. They're still the feeder state for anOSU and how's that working for them?

Saw Angelo walking thru our hotel lobby this morning, walking poorly, looked like a hammy.

Why in the world did Spratley take down in the ride-outs, after giving up a reversal and down 3-1??
This was such a dumb decision by Taylor?

He got away from bottom with only 12 seconds left. So he had 12 seconds to score a TD vs 30 if he chose neutral? But he did get a meaningless point while losing 18 seconds.

The only possible justification (and it is not that great of a justification) is that Robinson had a stall call and maybe they thought they could get an escape point and a stall call to tie it as they had riding time..

Don’t know if it came through the broadcast, but they announced all winners AND all seniors after each medal match.

By far the biggest ovation was for Hardy and it was quite an ovation. He responded to it. Quite touching.

Blaze, Duke and Mirasola all took losses due to riding differentials (or reactions to them).
Here’s my quibble - I think savino and Seidel are actually better than Blaze. Duke is better than Robideau. That’s the frustrating part. I think with some game planning against robideau - Duke handles him next time. I am not sure Blaze beats Savino or Seidel….

Or if they thought he was more likely to get a reversal than a takedown in 30 sec.

But then you have to actually try to get a reversal. And there's still the risk of losing due to RT differential.

Need? No. He just finished 4th as a true freshman.

He could improve with one, but doesn't need it.
We're so spoiled. A true freshman places 4th in arguably the toughest weight class and we're disappointed. Crazy stuff. Seidel is probably the 2nd best 133 behind Forrest. Ono/Forrest could've been epic. I don't see Forrest holding 133, but crazier things have happened.

No, he needs both strength and technique improvement.

That's not a slam on him. He's a true freshman from Ohio -- a state notorious for underdeveloped mat wrestlers. He hasn't had enough time to recover from that against the best mat wrestlers. And Seidel is a hammer on top even by PA standards.
Regarding Seidel... his reputation as a top hammer is well earned. Im surprised Blaze went on bottom.

Didn't get to see either third place matches due to daughters birthday party but I suppose I'll have to get it out and watch blaze lose to Seidel.

He has one more and he’s actually trying to get another one on top of that. He feels that driving recklessly and almost killing people warrants a medical waiver.
He also took a Olympic Redshirt, and did not compete in any Freestyle events to qualify for the team.

It was just a dodge to get another year of eligibility.

When your older brother is cutting to 165, genetics might say 133 is a short stay. It isn't at all unreasonable to think Marcus could RS a year, ONO go 133, double D's fight it out at 141 ( Desmond and Davis ) and Marcus emerges at 149 to replace SVN.

This should be a crazy offseason.

My only takeaway, besides being thrilled with our program is I wish we would shake opposing coaches hands. Mitch shakes everyone's hand, even those keeping score.........maybe too much.

Seeing Duke's reaction to 3rd makes it even ******* worse. He knows he's the best. What crap last night was for him.
While what happened with the officiating sucked, it never should have come to that. In both losses this year, Duke was really inexplicably tentative with his offense. Whenever he gets at it, he wins. It’s on him that he wasn’t aggressive enough on his feet and was even in that position.
