Now, when the kid is 19, his dad is the dummy who reclassed him because his dad is trying to project his youth goals onto the kid.
If somebody ever actually gets serious about "let's grow wrestling" the will emphasize calling stalling. Refs who grade poorly in calling stalls will not be hired for nationals, nor big duals. There doesn't need to be a huge rewrite of the rule book, but there needs to be a huge rewrite of how officials are reviewed and graded.
I want to see Jax and Rob-a-Duke tag team Mitchell.
They may stand a chance in that format.

Kindof tough when the top guy throws a leg in and flattens you out. That was a quick, and unwarranted stall warning. A few years back, guys were clamoring for throwing legs in as stalling on the top guy.

That, or a shot clock is definitely needed. Folks talk about PJ and Luke, what exactly do folks want them to do? PJ got hosed twice this year by refs. I laugh every time I here folks say, don't let it in the refs hands. Sometimes, athletes don't have a choice. If a wrestler takes no shots, is constantly backing up, and tying hands all math long, what is a wrestler to do? Take a massive risk? Why would you do that?

Yep...ok st is coming but don't ever underestimate the competitive juices that flow through Caels veins. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an even bigger jump for his program. You think he steals recruits now in late stages of the process? Just wait. And don't be surprised if you see an occasional national champ here and there transfer in. Cael doesn't settle for being second best to anyone.
Kessenich is terrible but I'll give him a pass this year, for yesterday's interview with McEnelly. That was pure gold.

I admit that not everybody is Mitchell Messenbrink, and there is a time to simply make sure you win the damn match.
Not sure i saw an Iowa effort out there. Shayne got outwrestled, Levi was tactical and always present, Rocco wrestled like he has against a really good opponent, Josh physically dominated an opponent who was going to do nothing until the very end and scored a TD and a reversal, Luke wrestled an opponent that retreated for 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Nope not a single Iowa effort.

Doesn’t make him a Pa boy imo anymore than guys who transfer to IGM academy make them Florida boys, even if they do it young.

Really bummed for Shayne and Rocco tonight and our other guys who came up short.
Was just thinking there’s no shame in Rocco losing a close match to McEnelly. In the beginning of the year, with the talent at 184, I would have been thrilled if you told me Rocco would take second.
