Starting to look like it will be between us and Neb for 2nd. Hopefully we can get 4 of 5 to the finals but at least 3. Neb with 66 and we have 64.5 with each having 3 in cons and 5 still in the championship hunt.
It was 2-2 and Facundo has more riding time due to the locked hands call? Should he have not won by securing MORE riding time and a tie game?
Nothing is guaranteed I guess, but that looked horrible. If not we'll have a one armed man against a one legged man lol.

Semifinals and Consulation Round start at 7 pm Central/8 pm Eastern.
Spratley, Jax, Vega, Robideau, and Panda have AA status locked up. Swiderski and Doucet need to win one more match. Ryder does too technically but it seems that Allred will medically forfeit so Ryder has it locked up. Dee and Cujo are out unfortunately
The five in the semis are AA plus Ryder because of the forfeit. Ski and Doucet have to win at least one more match in the consos to make AA.
149, 184 and Heavy have to win one tonight to AA, and I think they all will (184 may already have it locked up it with the possible forfeit). If I was looking at the consolation brackets correct, I think we have some pretty favorable matchups.
Doucett has Pitzer from Pitt and Swiderski has Willochel from Wyoming. Both are very winnable matches.

I know a lot of people here are down on Dee's wrestling here and rightly so as he was ranked 2nd for a lot of the year and I'm sure few, if any thought he would be our first wrestler out. That being said, his loss to the #13 seed (8 lower than his 5) was not as bad as Alex's loss to the #18 seed (10 lower than his 8). As someone said above; #2 & #3 overall high school recruits bite the big one. Ugh, indeed.
If there is one thing we know, seedings mean very little in the blood round. All our guys will have tough matches (except for any forfeits). This next round of consos is the most fun to watch as a fan, especially if you are in the arena. Wish I were.
I could see a redshirt for Dee next year. Build the toolkit, build the stamina, absorb the new philosophies, and get fired up to compete hard. Maybe an offseason will be enough to do these things. I'm sure coaches have a plan and I have no doubt Dee will be assessing things as well. Stuff doesn't always go your way but you can decide how to respond to it.
Hopefully he has the humility to consider it.
I am skeptical Taylor lets him hang if the post season conversation indicates a lack of desire even with redshirt on the table.
Ryder advancing farther than Allred is huge. Vega needs to beat Hardy again and of course we all just need to win win win tonight and it will take care of itself. IMO Robideau has the toughest match but who knows!! I’m excited!!! Go Pokes

Bet online has Lilledahl -350. I like Troy’s chances more than that. They also have Jax -365 and I’m not sure I’d think he is that big of a favorite over Seidel. Vega is -220, Merrill is -180 and Lando is +600.
