One of my very favorite things to see is a wrestler who sticks around the program his whole career and becomes an All-American in his last tournament. The difference between saying you were a college wrestler and a college All-American wrestler is massive. So happy for Big KD!

What a night! Robideau beating Duke made the night fantastic. He is so tough, smart and a battler who never gives up. In the summer Duke beat him twice in 20 and Unders but Robideau never gave up and got a takedown late in each match. I said I bet Duke was wondering how do you keep this guy down. Now in the semi's he realizes Robideau is something else. Talking of someone else Jax dominated Virginia Tech with lots of takedowns. He always knows where he is and makes the right move. Vega wrestled smart and as always happens he gets the takedown in the 3rd but I almost had a heart attack when he started rolling around and got himself into more trouble than he needed to. Swiderski won in consolations and Ryder got the forfeit. Troy made mistakes early and did not give himself a chance to come back. Several matches Lilledahl had to go to overtime several times in this tournament. He is usually very defensive but scored a bunch early against Spratley. Great night so far.
Then Doucet wins by pin. Night just gets better.

Saw Doucet won....how did other Pokes in consolation finish? Basically cannot find any match information anywhere other than mentions on 34.

Opps never mind....saw Medic's mention

Most impressed with so far:

1. Ryder - I was ultra high on him. He pissed me off to start the year but he got better and his shoulder injury really surpressed his true rankings. He's really a top 6-8 wrestler at 184
2. Rob - Gutsy performer. IDK if he's injured but knocking off the #1 guy is IMPRESSIVE.
3. Panda - Nothing more to say, dude is a BEAST. Give him all the In-N-Out he can eat.
4. Vega - Grinded out a Dub, still hasn't given up a takedown.
5. Jax - Business as usual. I expected him to make the finals.
6. Swiderski - Dude is a BEAST. I hope he keeps this motor into next year. Had the #1 guy on the ropes and had his chances.
7. Doucet - Finding ways to win. Pin Fall at this point is impressive no matter what!
8. Sprat - Little disappointed, I thought Liledahl was the most vulnerable of the PSU big boys. Great ride, let's finish 3rd!
9. Facundo - I still have a hard time understanding the Rideout, why not lock hands at any point you're about to give up an escape so you can start over?

Really 6-9 are interchangeable for their own reasons but DAMN, I'm loving still having 8 guys competing tomorrow!

Lockett - Sorry, you get paid and you were our #1 recruit. All talk, no bite this year. Train, get a better motor/conditioning and really study how the boys do it. From 125-184, the motors and mission is clear, score and score often.

We see there's a couple of gaps, we need to get better of plug them.
