Original call was reversal, wasn't a reversal, overturned to escape, coaches challenge changed it back to reversal.

125 - Spratley drops a 3-2 decision and will wrestle for 5th.

That whole family is just a bunch of clowns. Angelo I guess I could kind of understand if his ankle and shoulders are hurt. AJ is just butthurt that Yonger put belt to a$$. Can’t wait to see AJ’s semi-literate self write some social media caption about “Unfortunately I was not able to continue competing 🏎️🏎️

Most pathetic PoS's college wrestling has seen in forever. Disgusting. AJ may not be welcomed back. You could see his teammates were already tired of his act.

I know I've been absent the last few days, but I've been lurking. The tone of this thread is not the normal so I just stayed out of a lot of it haha. Neutral on how critical we should be on message boards personally though, so not picking a side.

Anyways, wanted to share thoughts on the reversal call. While I strongly disagree with it, I do think it's pretty obvious why they called it. VR had control of one leg and "subjectively" the waist at the same time as Troy was on his butt. Those three things can be enough for control. The key for me is back to stupid reaction time. Roughly 1-1.5 secs by my clock when I tried to rewatch. Again, very gray area. So if you cede that is enough for control and you cede that it was enough reaction time, then I get (but disagree) why the independent review said reversal. I personally dont think it was enough time and the waist control was questionable, but again just trying to see both sides of it. Felt like Troy was in trouble well before then though and in an ideal world he gives up the escape or works harder to get outside the circle, even if he is called for stalling.

Tough to draw VR twice too. Excited for spark plug to have one more shot next season.

Get escape and stall with v Rob running backwards wasn’t out of the question. Easier than getting 2 stall calls and 2 pts to tie I’d guess.
Also, VRob is incredibly hard to takedown. It was much higher in conversion to get a reverse, followed by escape and stall (can’t hardly get one in hideouts) then takedown.

So, it wasn’t coaching malpractice, it was math.
