He’s a good dude and knows what he’s talking about.

I think it’s smart to avoid using still shots as your evidence of argument when there’s such a thing as reaction time.

The call was iffy and the wrestling was super faced paced at that point.
No reaction time in a nearside cradle hip hitting situation. The ref on the mat nailed it and the booth messed it up. That situation has ALWAYS been a takedown.

Man you so wanted it to be! 🤣🤣
I don't care either way I just don't like watching anyone get screwed. I'm 51 and thats been called a takedown my whole life. Coaches actually yell to kids put him on a hip for a reason and it's called the second that hip hits and has been forever

I would agree with you if the wrestlers were reversed, but in this scenario you are so dead wrong man.

I just rewatched it. In my opinion it's not a takedown and the refs rewatching it in the booth who could watch it as many times as they needed to agree. Nobody's trying to screw anyone.

It happened super quick and Landon was in on a high crotch(I think) so the ref did not nail it.

That position should been wrestled through.
Chase coaches yell put him on a hip for a reason that position is a takedown every weekend all year long at Jr high , high school and college it's actually not even close or debatable

They injected reaction time into a position that has never had it until this situation. All year long hip hits 3 and for the 51 years I have been alive. Anyone who doesn't understand I'm sorry you don't understand wrestling

I know that!

I’m just saying it happened so quick it didn’t look like control besides having his hands locked while Robideau is working his HC. I know his hip hit, but action was still, very much heavy. I agree that that is why he called it as quick as he did.

We’ve all seen it thousands of times where a guy is working a cradle and 3 isn’t given until later, sometimes much later.

I wouldn’t have called it in that moment, I’d have let them wrestle through it.

You would be correct if Duke were off to the side and he bumped Landon down to his side but that's not what happened. They were still facing each other. Not a takedown as the review stated. You're not really describing the situation as it happened. It was close though.
