Would Adolis Garcia have helped had he been healthy?? We'll never know. If he was healthy, maybe the Arraez trade wouldn't have been necessary. Would a healthy Arraez have made a difference in the playoffs?? Again, we'll never know.

I hope the finances are such that a serious effort can be made to retain both Sosa and Arraez. Both brought production and energy which every team needs beyond slug.

If Dave finds someone to take on Trea’s contract he deserves that lifetime contract 😂

Hopefully not Mattingly - Donny baseball does not know how to use bullpen pitchers and lost several games because of this.

Dombrowski and Middleton are driving the ship into the rocks. They will literally run it back again and wonder why the Phils miss the playoffs.

It may be for the best. No top manager will want to take on this roster. They are beached due to bad contracts.

Interesting. The offense certainly fell off this season, but Long is well regarded. Dickerson also was held in high regard. @MrTailgate, any thoughts on this?

Given the continued bad hitting approaches across the lineup and the terrible fielding, these moves shouldn’t surprise anyone. Long’s departure is especially welcome as it appears he was being kept only because he was a crony of some of the players. I don’t care about their feelings - they get paid tons of money to suck it up and be professional.

In my opinion, only Cotham is an untouchable. That guy’s handling of the staff through injuries and slumps was pretty masterful.
