hanging on to those long term solutions hopefully won't be too costly. Otherwise, you're gonna have to pay up! ;)
It's much easier to recruit from within, which is what McCollum wants to do. He also targets kids who are culture guys, and understand that aspect of the team/development. We have to get the guys first before we worry about losing them, however! 😩😂

It is pretty cool that Stirtz was more interested in following Ben than in a huge pay day. Hopefully that trend continues because from all accounts Trey Thompson is the real deal.

He looks angry in this pic! ;)

Iowa needs donors badly. Who is guiding that ship? I say this not having all the information, so please take it with a grain of salt, but what exactly has SWARM done to better our NIL position compared to other programs? Someone needs to dig into that deeply.
Ask Rico. His delusion is that's HE is in the know.....

Thanks that makes more sense to me. Peyton strikes me as a very team oriented guy maybe as a coach's son. I loved the stories early on about how hard he defends in practice. But I don't see him competing for the starting position.
I'm pretty sure that's what people said about Hoibergs kid too. Unfortunately, some here still have a Lick hangover..

Just noticed your comment. Ben has indicated going full tilt to bring in two point guards one to develop. And I don't think he wants his son affecting recruiting or upsetting the chemistry of the team.

Remember Peyton made his decision very late I think weighing Iowa against options at lower level schools where he could play and make an impact. He could step in and help if recruiting falls short. I just don't think he came here do that. I have long forgotten about the Lickliter situation regarding his son.

Farmers need to reach into those moldy old wallets. I assume it will be at least 3 portal guys.
Many farmers are land rich but cash poor. Have you ever worked or lived on a farm? I have on both counts, it is hard work. Most farmers I know are very fruggle. The weather, fuel and fertilizer fluctuations, commodity markets and international pressures. No thank you.

Yes it was sarcasm. My family owns farm ground.

Coleman has zoomed up into top 20 stratosphere from almost unranked last summer.
Talk of being the next " wagler" from scouts.

Wish we could afford him but illini will be looking to replace wagler.

Illinois already has a SG in 2026 I think. I think Texas Tech is the team to beat but it helps that we are closer to home

Saw that Storm Lakes star jaidyn coon has been named Iowa Mr Basketball..he is committed to Creighton.
Rice is considered the top recruit in Iowa..headed to Nebraska.
So it goes with a coaching change...
One thing about watching all these teams you never see all season....it is obvious there is plenty of talent spread around the country to pursue.
Lendeborg was at UAB last year and a juco year before.
Go find the next lendeborg,Ben, before he blows up!
