Graded at a 88.78 Elijah Reeder is a solid prospect from NJ. Massive upside as as he will need to put on at least 50+ lbs to play edge at 6'6. Coming up from 210 will to 260 + of good weight is not an easy task.

Borque (Mass) was at the top of the PSU board during the last regime, he and Croucher (Conn) both committed elsewhere, one to Michigan and one to Ole Miss (before Kiffin bailed). With the change it is good to see Campbell circling back. Either one would be an exceptional get.

Safe to say Israel Abrams and Peter Bourque are the top qb targets for 2027?

I've read Campbell has had an early in with Abrams. And Bourque is officially "looking" after the Moore meltdown out Michigan?

Some unverified measurables for Cooper: 6'0”, 185 pounds, 38.5-inch vertical, 4.5 speed,, 48'3” triple jump,, 22'10.5” long jump, 182' javelin.
Didn't find a portal thread so I'll put this here if it gets moved ok. But it seems we are locked in an NIL battle with BGJ to land that Michigan QB. Please delete if already posted.

Bourque? If so, he's a 2027 prospect, still in HS.

Maybe all he's worried about is NIL, but the fact that BGJ is touting a first time play caller and zero weapons on the outside, has to play in our favor, no?

Sorry I should have mention the starting MI QB who has entered the portal. Sorry so dumb of me.

If Bourque decommits from Michigan it is very unlikely he is going to VTech. I think every coach in the country will point to Allar and say. He went to PSU as a 5*. How do you think they did in developing him? HIs coaches are now at VTech.

I am also not saying he will come to PSU if he leaves Michigan and nixes VTech. He is talented and like Kroucher will look far and wide. The one i am surprised who has not made a move is Keagan Kroucher from CT. He committed to Kiffin at Ole Miss before he bolted to LSU. Looks like he is dead set in playing in the SEC. Transferred to Baylor in Tn for his senior year.

I think we're all confusing Jadyn Davis & Peter Bourque.

Jadyn Davis was Michigan's BACKUP QB this past season. He was a highly sought after recruit in the 2024 class. He entered the transfer portal yesterday. PSU recruited him heavily in 2024, so makes sense both BGJ and PSU are after him now.

Peter Bourque is a 4* 2027 HS QB prospect currently committed to Michigan. There is speculation that he could decommit because of the current Michigan scandal and firing of HC Moore. Both PSU and BGJ must be going after the flip, among other schools.

Am really liking the Texas offers. Getting and keeping a foothold in Texas and Florida will greatly benefit the team going forward in this day of NIL

We never get much traction in Texas. The issue is probably travel. Columbus is 3x the size of Pittsburgh and 2x Miami. OSU is 10 minutes from an airport with direct flights to California , Texas and Florida. Psu does not have that luxury.

The more important thing is probably recruiting NJ and the DMV.

Why does this and others say "reoffered"? Were the initial offers pulled?

Yes. That is the problem. When Franklin was hired by VTech a psu staffer then called the recruits and told them their offers were no longer valid. The staffer then followed Franklin to VTech.

No worries. BGJ must allocate his first 27 spots to DBs before he worries about anything else.

Psu scholly allocation is on par with OSU, Clemson and Alabama. I checked a few years ago. We were on par. Problem is the production from lb , dt and wr.

Acutally, I dont think that was the problem. What new staff has to honor offers made by a previous staff. If I were a 2027 kid, I'd want to hear from the new staff they still want me.

The problem was telling the 2026 commits that the school no longer wanted them, which was pushing away committed kids. One of the biggest mistakes Kraft made was basically not contacting every 2026 commit within a day of firing Franklin and telling them, we want you here and no matter who the new coach is your committment will be honored if you wish to come to PSU. If one of the commits said they were hearing it differently. Then you are in a postion the nip that whole thing in the bud.

That might have salvaged half the class instead of watching it fall completely apart. The athletic office appears to have made no effort to keep the 2026 kids together, and that included an awful lot of really strong recruits.

That was the 2026 class. Not the 2027 class.

Despite rumors, I don’t think the Michigan starting QB has entered the portal….yet. TBD. His backup, Jadyn Davis, has announced he is entering the portal. He was also a highly rated QB recruit out of HS.

If you haven’t committed but received an offer, it may carry-over to the new staff, or they may bring committed recruits from their last school and not have available spots. Recruits who are still open are more in a grey area, the new staff will be looking for players who fit their specific style of play or system and may not have a need for certain players who don’t fit those qualities.

So, the "re-offers" reaffirm the staff's interest in a player.

Rumor mill was the Underwood is getting about 10 to12 million over several years in NIL to be at Michigan. I doubt he's ever leaving.
