I need to get my butt out to Eugene for that away game. It's a pretty stacked schedule next year.Pretty sweet we get Michigan, USC and UCLA in Kinnick
I heard it was hot in other states too.Sooo the response to all the heat issues this year is to play a week EARLIER, when it'll be smoking hot again. Probably another 2:30 kick-off. GENIUS!!
I do like playing ISU in game 3, but it's still the same number of "weeks of practice" as past years, just an extra/early game week thrown in there
Yeah, not thrilled with the timing, but we all knew this was coming.Sooo the response to all the heat issues this year is to play a week EARLIER, when it'll be smoking hot again. Probably another 2:30 kick-off. GENIUS!!

NFL plays and practices in heat in July / August. We can handle it. People need to monitor themselves and stay hydrated. People work outdoors all summer.Sooo the response to all the heat issues this year is to play a week EARLIER, when it'll be smoking hot again. Probably another 2:30 kick-off. GENIUS!!

How do people work in it all summer inside and outside. Nothing stops.Yeah, not thrilled with the timing, but we all knew this was coming.
And you people still making comments suggesting that heat is not a big deal have real issues.

You never know I was in ic in August this year the week before the home opener and it was cooler than normal whereas a week later it was the opposite.Gonna be a hot one.

Gonna be a hot one.
Finally, someone with some sense in regard to schedulingMy first thought is I like moving ISU to week three
Secondly, why can't you people understand that no coach is going to want to schedule an elite opponent every week. With how stacked and grueling the B1G is you need some easier wins in there. This will help the team to stay healthy during the long season. Also the CFP committee has proven they don't give a rip about strength of schedule.
There would be no benefit to play 3 tough out of conference games followed by a gauntlet B1G schedule
The way Iowa does the non conference is perfect IMO, although I wish we'd drop ISU and schedule and ACC or SEC team
Because the games are close you don’t think Kirk takes the ISU game seriously? Kirk has put the screws to ISU several times. Finally! Been calling for them to move the game to our third game on the schedule.
Just too bad that it's in Ames and Rogers also wants to take this rivalry more seriously than our head coach, so it'll again be a painstaking, white knuckles, sweat fest that we can't just have nice things in...........
What's funny is all I'm hearing from ISU fans this week is how fine they are with losing to Iowa as long as they don't look as bad as they're own fans thought they were gonna be.
Exactly. It's never been possible to accurately predict the weather, and with the reality of global warming--facts don't rely on anyone's opinion--it's just that much more volatile. The weather in late August could be wonderful or ugly or anything in between. You never know I was in ic in August this year the week before the home opener and it was cooler than normal whereas a week later it was the opposite.

The sun rises above Iowa before it does Nebraska.Iowa > Nebraska
I've got the eyes to see what you did there.
