Iowa has offered 2029 legacy prospect RJ Evans, a 6'6" guard and the son of former Hawkeye great and 13-year NBA veteran Reggie Evans.

Iowa assistant coach Luke Barnwell watched him this past weekend in live AAU action.

RJ plays on Austin Rivers SE Elite (one of Florida's Adidas sponsored 3SSB programs).

Picked up offer from Iowa and NC State today

[Hawksfor3]

Good for the young man. Hope he comes in. Side note: His dad hauled in a career high 22 rebounds for the Raptors in 2010!

Reggie’s son, another clue the sun is setting on me. lol

Just waking up in the morning, is reward enough in itself. After that, life is just a challenge. Enjoy your twilight years, you've earned it.

[Franisdaman]

6'7" SF out of Boonville, MO.

ESPN has him ranked as a 4 star and the #23 overall prospect in the country.

Looks like Missouri is the only other school to offer so far.

That's Jaidyn Coon. Noah and Jaidyn both played on D1 Minnesota AAU program

Noah Woods

I was looking at rivals top 50 list for 2028 and 2029 ..

Evans is currently #2 in country in 2029...and battling to overtake jj crawford for #1.
Crawford is son of jamal crawford, NBA star.
Evans is also son of NBA vet,Reggie.

Saw Noah woods at #39 and sg roman henry of Sioux City East at #41.

Very few Midwest recruits make the lists.
Hawks need to lock up the few top rated Midwest kids like these 2.

Home town kids almost always stayed home in the past. Today, more and more want to get out and see new places. Only time will tell but you are probably correct.

Does RJ's vision fit Ben's vision. Ben likes to have long term players to develop. Probably a better fit at Kentucky where they are use to one-and-done.

Since Cal left for Arkansas Kentucky hasn’t been successful for one and done freshman under pope. Pope is over rated and doesn’t have the greatest track record for developing those guys so far at UK or byu prior.
