197: Josh Barr vs. Jesse Cassatt (JC)

Per 1
Barr with a quick TD, 3-0. JC out, 3-1. Barr spins behind for a TD, 6-1. Barr cuts him, 6-2. JC shoots, Barr tries to counter, nothing. Then Barr with an ankle pick for a TD, 9-2. OOB with 1:53 left. Barr must have gotten 2 NF, as it's 11-2. Barr trying to run a bar, and he turns him, and he gets the pin @ 2:45!!!

285: Kerk vs. Jarrett Stoner (JS)

Per 1
Kerk shoots a double, nothing. Might have been a stall warning on JS (not certain). Kerk gets behind and snaps JS down but they are OOB with 1:16 left. Kerk on his knees and drives in for a double for a TD, 3-0. Kerk toying with him on top and ends up turning him, and gets 4 NF, 7-0. Kerk working a bar, but the period ends. RT @ 1:01 for Kerk

Per 2
JS takes bottom. Kerk takes him to his back but doesn't get swipes. He turns him again and is getting swipes. JS rolls over and it's 4 NF, 11-0. JS not doing anything, and there's a stall call to make it 12-0. Kerk briefly turns him but only got 1 swipe. End. RT @ 3:01 for Kerk

Per 3
Kerk takes neutral. RT is locked for Kerk. JS lost his mouthguard, so the match is stopped. Kerk is snapping him around like a rag doll. Kerk in on a single, reaches across for the other ankle and gets the TD, 15-0 for the TF @ 5:57.

41-3, PSU

125: Kurt McHenry vs. Lugman Masud (LM)

Per 1
McHenry with a quick TD, 3-0. LM works up and is basically cut, 3-1. McHenry with a TD, 6-1. Then he turns him and got at least 1 swipe, but not points. McHenry working a bar. LM works up but McHenry gets him back down. LM to a 3-point stance, then OOB with 0:36 left. McHenry shelves a leg, but can't get anything with it. Now he's working an arm bar. End. RT @ 2:48 for McHenry

Per 2
McHenry on bottom (I'm not sure who picked what). Caution on LM. McHenry is up and out in 4 sec, 7-1. McHenry in on a single, LM with a whizzer and fights it off. McHenry with a throw-by to a single to a cradle, 10-1, but he can't turn the cradle and loses it. McHenry maintains control, and then tilted but nothing (just a roll over and then through). End. RT @ 3:48 for McHenry.

Per 3
McHenry chooses bottom (so LM must have picked top in the 2nd period). Either a caution or the ref just resets them (not sure which). Now caution on red. McHenry up in 3 sec for the esc, 11-1. LM tries a double, McHenry counters right to LM's back, so it ends 18-1 TF.

That's the last match in the PSU - Mizzou competition

Listening, it seemed odd Bailey took neutral but then didn't really do much. Ironhead made it sound like NB was gesturing to BD to come and get me........dude you are behind. Of course, it may not have been exactly like that......Ironhead is a lovable homer.
I watched the match. Bailey was slapping his own left leg and saying come and get it.

Ah, I get back in time to watch part of the Haines - O'Toole match at 174. It's 1-0, Haines, near the end of the 2nd period. End. RT @ 0:08 for O'Toole.

Per 3
O'Toole takes bottom. Haines tries to throw in a boot, O'Toole catches it, and eventually works up for an esc, 1-1. RT is 0:13 for Haines, so not a factor. Haines in on a low head outside single, goes to a double and they scramble, and stoppage for stalemate with 0:49 left. O'Toole with a bit of a shot, nothing. 30 sec left. End

OT
Haines tries a high crotch, O'Toole counters, they scramble, Haines in a good position, then O'Toole works up and nearly gets a TD, nearly tripped by Haines steps over, this is wild, and then O'Toole works out behind and gets the TD. Haines seems to want the brick thrown, and I believe it was. They go to video review. Speculation that PSU thinks Haines had a TD not called. The call on the mat is upheld, so it's a 1-4 DEC for O'Toole.

I believe it's 26-3, PSU
Tom I’m sure I missed it. How much does Haines weigh at this point?

There are many comparing this to Yanni beating McKenna a few years ago for the title with the same/similar move. I didn’t see it live. Did the refs stop it and award KOT the TD before he popped his head out the backside?

No. The TD was awarded after O'Toole popped his head out.

The controversy, if there is one, is whether or not Haines should have been awarded a TD earlier in the sequence.

Ok. Thanks. I understand the controversy. That’s the reference I made to the Yanni-McKenna match.

I watched it live, it seemed they awarded the two before his head popped out. Head was buried but he had both arms out, right arm around Levi’s right leg and left arm around his left leg with head still underneath between Levi’s legs.
