125 Luke
133 Ono
141 M Blaze
149 SVN
157 PJ Duke
165 Mitch
174 Levi
184 Rocco
197 Josh
HVY Cole (something tells me Cochrane is right there on taking HVY)

It won't happen, but if you asked the rhetorical question, "who in this lineup has a legitimate shot at winning an individual national championship?". Without blinking an eye, my count is 9. Incredible.

Don’t know that I agree on Henckel. He’s almost 20 already and has been 79KG for two straight years. Think he’s capped at 184.
Time will tell he can still add muscle to his frame and be a 197 .

I see 133 Blaze 141 Nagao/ Davis with Ono RS. Henckel will probably be 197 before that have you seen his dad lol. Henckel just keeps growing
Why do you see a red shirt for Ono? If he only gets 2 years why waste one?

I get it and that could very well be possible. In fact, it probably makes us stronger right now. However, I feel like we run away with a NC this year either way. DT is building something down there in OKST... Delaying ONO and DUKE allows us to stay ahead of the curve not just now but for the next several years as well. JMO

Issue with Duke is NCAA is talking about going to 5 years of eligibility and Duke would lose a year. I'm hearing it won't be retroactive they don't want to have another situation like covid where everyone got a year back. And when your healthy and good enough you don't sit tomorrow is never a guarantee

He can take the Olympic redshirt however

Yes "for now" but talking to coaches the administrations and lawyers are saying it's a matter of time. And it wouldn't be retroactive. It's gonna happen in the next few years is what the administrations think

Yeah, the non-retroactive part is undoubtedly the issue as it relates to making decisions now. But yeah, you'd hope that they'd get it done within the next few years. Of course, it's so simple that it continues to be astonishing that it isn't the law of the NCAA land now, but that's for another time and thread.

Agree it's a total mess the NCAA has messed up at every turn it seems. I can see why they don't want it being retro after the covid year mess

As usual, it's October 16th and we basically know nothing about the starting lineup 😂.

Hint: We are winning the national championship regardless of who goes 😂
Nothing? We know plenty about the starting lineup. 125, 149, 165, 174, 184, 197, & 285 are set and we know who the starter will be.

Delaying Ono likely makes no difference in holding off OKST. He's not training and competing in folk during an Olympic year. And it's hard to imagine him doing folk after that, when he has max 2 yrs left starting this semester.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who talked to Gunsie before he passed out in the parking lot of Champs last night. Gunsie told her that we are only starting eight wrestlers for each dual this year.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that Ono is getting a second year so he goes this season. With that I have the lineup as follows

125-Lilledahl
133-Blaze
141-Ono
149-SVN
157-Duke
165-Mesenbrink
174-Levi
184-Rocco
197-Barr
Heavy-Mirasola

Tell me there aren’t 9 finalists and 10 AA’s on that team

It's crazy to think we could challenge for the NC with 5 AAs sitting out the tourney for various reasons. (Davis, Nagao, Kasak, Levi, Barr)

126 LL
133 Ono
141 Blaze
149 SVN
157 Duke
165 Mitch
174 Henkle
184 Rocco
197 Conner
285 Cole

I see at least 7 AAs and 2 or 3 champs with that line-up.

Jax enrollment early?
It's on the table he would graduate in December. My opinion they will wait and see how 133 Figs/Hughes do 1st semester then decide if he enrolls or not. Prior to them getting Figs the discussions were being had about him reclassifying

Kinda big if true, and makes Van Ness' job easier. Henson still has a shirt.

Should be announced tomorrow. Aaron will probably be breaking more news in the future as well. Go give him a follow
