He has. How well the team performs will all depend on how the pieces fit together, how well the OL gels and what production the DL generates. Hopefully, they can get a pash rush with the line and not have to resort to blitzes for pressure. I have significantly less concern with the offense as this is Campbell's thing and he has pieces he is familiar with. Defense is the question mark for meOn 3 pre-season polls has us at 14th. Yes, it is preseason, but CMC has done a great job salvaging and rebuilding the roster.

Defense will be significantly better in my opinion as long as there isn’t injuries. He has. He got big DTs which will help eat up OLinemen. Hopefully at least one of our DTs is good enough to command a double team. That should help the LBs run free to make plays. It seemed the opposing OL was able to get to the second level too much with the light DTs.He has. Let’s hope that preseason poll is better than preseason polls for this past season. On 3 pre-season polls has us at 14th. Yes, it is preseason, but CMC has done a great job salvaging and rebuilding the roster.

The defense and how good they are this year will depend on the young DE who return. He got big DTs which will help eat up OLinemen. We could use some additional DEs and LBs. Hopefully some are in the works and there is money left to sign them.

I read that Hayes is not "available" this Spring. Does anyone know why?PSU should be willing to take Hayes back. Maybe White can try Temple?
I have no idea, but this got me to thinking about academic ineligibility. Is that still a thing?I read that Hayes is not "available" this Spring. Does anyone know why?
It has become almost impossible. One would just about have to try to achieve that goal.I have no idea, but this got me to thinking about academic ineligibility. Is that still a thing?
Saban on the star system- go with your own evaluation and culture fit.
Yes, but Bama, OSU, and UGa were getting more 5 star kids than everyone else when he was still coaching and it wasn’t even close. I like Nick. I think he is a smart guy and a great coach, but for him to say he didn’t see the stars is somewhat disingenuous. He recruited for talent, sure. It’s just the four and five star kids happened to have the most talent. He’s at least partially right, that’s why anybody who knows what’s going on would notice that three star kids who would get an offer from Alabama or Georgia would immediately get bumped up 100 spots to get a fourth star and four star guys who for whatever reason didn’t get those offers, suddenly move down the rankings.
He did not seem to miss on 4 or 5 star guys.Yes, but Bama, OSU, and UGa were getting more 5 star kids than everyone else when he was still coaching and it wasn’t even close. I like Nick. I agree. In this instance, he’s acting like a guy that married a supermodel and then claimed he didn’t realize she was smoking hot.He did not seem to miss on 4 or 5 star guys.

It just took becoming part of the media for Saban to be totally full of Sh*t. The stunt he pulled with James about how terrible it was for them to fire such a successful coach was really something....everyone knows if Sabans teams had the history of PSU under Franklin the OC/DC would be fired every year. Now he's all of a sudden not really into 5 star guys, all development.....oh and he hates NIL, had to get out of football because of it, you know, after paying players for YEARS.I call ********.
He married her for her brains.I agree. In this instance, he’s acting like a guy that married a supermodel and then claimed he didn’t realize she was smoking hot.
Agreed. Saint Nick got out of the game when he no longer has the stacked deck.It just took becoming part of the media for Saban to be totally full of Sh*t. He walked away when everyone else could pay players like they were doing at Bama for years.Nope. He walked away when paying players trumped everything else which meant he was no longer able to stockpile talent.
Exactly. He walked away when everyone else could pay players like they were doing at Bama for years.
I know he was lobbying congress to pass legislation regarding NIL before he retired. When there was action taken he stepped away. Perhaps just coincidence.Nope. He walked away when paying players trumped everything else which meant he was no longer able to stockpile talent.
He wasn’t getting the starting job because Josh Hoover from TCU transferred in who I’m sure they paid a decent amount to.Probably transferring to Thug U.

For guys who have jumped into the portal, do they have an unlimited time to sign with another school or is there a "sign by" date?
I may be wrong, but I think it is extended for the playoff team players.Isn't the portal closed?
