I like the Gators. Should be a good game for sure.
In my bracket I picked a final of Florida vs Duke with Florida winning. Now not so sure about Florida winning against that Houston smothering defense and offensive board prowess. However, if Florida's bench can provide more scoring it could be the difference for them to grab the "W".

Houston’s L.J. Cryer already won a NATTY. o_O at Baylor.

”College” Basketball. 😞

This is only the 11th time that two 1-seeds are playing for the NATTY. o_O . That surprised me.

Looks like up to this point in the game, the refs aren't calling fouls unless they're flagrant.

Houston has been ice cold from behind the three-point line, and just like that Cryer hits nothing but net from well beyond the line. And Wilson follows with a 3 off the glass.

29-21, Houston, with 4:46 left in the 1st half

Twitter killed Cooper Flagg for missing the final shot on Saturday. Wonder how it's treating Walter Clayton, Jr.?

just when Florida looked to be out of it, a combination of Houston making fouls and missing shots, and Florida started to find the basket. They got it down to a 3-point deficit. Now 48-44, Houston, with 9:07 left

Final: 65 - 63, Florida. Houston screwed up their final possession. And frankly, they screwed up a lot of their half-court offense in the 2nd half, and gave the game away at the end.
They just seemed to dominate the game. And blew it.

Florida really locked Houston down in the closing minutes, made their possessions count. That last possession by Houston was shut down by Florida's defensive effort.

Yeah Florida was the better team IN THE LAST FEW MINUTES… but I think Houston was hosed, after outplaying them to earn a substantial lead…by that run of SOFT fouls called mid-second half… I wonder if someone from the network told the refs to make the game close for the end!

I had Houston winning it all. Was in final against a guy who had Florida. We split the pot before the game. So I still won. Wahoooo.

Agreed on the fouls. Houston again hosed by refs. Goal tending in first etc then 2nd half 8-0 foul run for Florida. Cmon man.

saying that, Houston offensive sets in second half were terrible

Yeah, Florida's defensive effort was impressive on Houston's last possession. But on that play, Houston had little ball movement, and ended up with only a couple of offensive options (the others were trying to set screens and/or just not looking for the ball). I thought on too many plays in the 2nd half when on offense, Houston would basically clear out a side and try to have someone win a one-on-one battle. Unfortunately for them, Florida would usually send somebody to help out on a drive, and the Houston player rarely seemed to look to dump it off to an open teammate.

Ooph! I had forgotten about that non-call on the goaltending… the three on the runout from it made it a five point swing!

Like the one called on Flagg that put Houston in this game in first place. IMHO

Good breakdown of that final play Tom
