I'm setting this up in advance, so that everyone has the info. I have a hectic Friday, including a match to ref in the late afternoon, so I'm not sure if I'll have time to set up the thread on Friday.

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the PSU - MSU dual.

When:
Jan. 10, 8:00 pm EST

Where:
Rec Hall, State College, PA

TV:
BTN

Video Streaming:
Those that are subscribers of the BTN can stream the video via the Fox Sports App

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 7:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 8:00 pm EST. GoPSUsports.com changed their web site, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the URLs in advance for the audio stream. (I won't figure it out by the time of the dual.) Go to:

gopsusports.com

Lion Vision

gopsusports.com

gopsusports.com

Once there, click on the button to the left of Wrestling: Michigan State

PBP:
I should be good for PBP. Hopefully, @GregPickel will be back from Miami, and can also add to the coverage. And I always encourage others to participate in the coverage.

Looking at the match notes, this is a very weak MSU team. They usually have a few studs, not this year. Could be a good time to check out some backups

I was surprised at how weak MSU looked on paper. If I recall correctly, their wrestler(s) with the fewest losses had more losses than any PSU starter (only 2 PSU starters have lost this season, and each has only 1 loss). Matches like these are my least favorite to make picks for in KYPSW, as you can get all the winners correct, but it's tough to know who for PSU will get a pin, a TF, a MAJ, or a DEC.

I was too, Tom, when putting the preview together.

125
Luke Lilledahl (Penn State) vs. Nick Corday (Michigan State)

133
Braeden Davis (Penn State) vs. Andrew Hampton (Michigan State)

141
Beau Bartlett (Penn State) vs. Jaden Crumpler (Michigan State)

149
Shayne Van Ness (Penn State) vs. Clayton Jones (Michigan State)

157
Tyler Kasak (Penn State) vs. Braden Stauffenberg (Michigan State)

165

That would mean no Remy tonight for MSU, which was to be the only ranked match of the night.

Ironhead is live on LionVision (probably has been for a few minutes -- I'm late tuning in)

Some impressive stats from Byers on the 10 starters so far this year: They are 82-2 with 24 pins, 32 tech falls, 10 major decisions, and 13 victories by decision. The group has an 82 percent bonus win rate, and a win percentage of 97.6. The starters have 199 takedowns to their credit and have given up four.

Byers just mentioned that PSU's starters have only given up 4 TDs this season. The competition gets tougher toward the end of the season, but that is a crazy stat.

MSU weighed in 2 at 285, but per Byers it will be Vanadia taking the mat for them

@GregPickel -- I'm guessing you were able to sleep on the flight. Your post from the airport was way too early for me (i.e., I'm never up at that hour).

UPDATE: Figured it out. I have it synced.
===
I have Jeff Byers streaming on my phone and my TV set to B1G for the wrestling match. However, I don’t see any controls on Lion Vision that will allow me to sync my audio with my video (tv). I can use the tv controls if the audio stream is BEHIND my video stream but what do I do if the audio is AHEAD? Tips? Tricks?

Watching the warm-up match on BTN. Maryland up 18-15 at Michigan headed to HWT. Former PSUer Seth Nevills #13 vs. #10 Heindselman for the match.

Nevills down 2-3 after 2 periods.

Yep. Would be a huge win for the Terrapins.

285: Kerk vs. Max Vanadia

Per 1
Kerk quickly behind for a TD, 3-0. He basically cuts him, 3-1, and takes him down again, 6-1. He cuts him again, 6-2, and gets another TD, 9-2. He locks a cradle, and he gets the pin @ 0:56!!!

6-0, PSU

And Nevills falls short. Final 4-2 for Heindselman. Michigan wins on criteria 18-18 based on total points scored.
Correction: now they’re saying Maryland won

This was really confusing. The color guys were saying Michigan won but the graphic said Maryland won on criteria.

MD Twitter account also says they won.

Yeah, I just added to my comment. I’m sure there’s a chance it changes again, but Sparks just said Maryyand won. I’ll go with that…until they change again.🤣

125: Luke Lilledahl vs. Nick Corday (NC)

Per 1
Luke in quickly on an ankle, loses it. Luke in again, but they scramble and eventually a stalemate with 2:19 left. Luke gets behind him and gets the TD, 3-0. ND to his feet and he's out, 3-1. Luke controls the wrist, then shoots a single and spins behind for the TD, 6-1. He's trying to war a bar, but NC rolls through. End. RT @ 1:30 for Luke

Per 2
Luke takes bottom. Caution on Luke. Luke sits out, NC holds onto the head and stoppage for a stall warning on NC, with 1:47 left. Luke tries a roll, and another stall warning for hanging on for NC, makes it 7-1. Luke starts up, they scramble, and then NC hangs onto a leg and gets a 5 count, so another point, 8-1. Luke works up and NC cuts him, 9-1. Luke with an ankle pick/low single for a TD, 12-1. Luke basically cuts him, 12-2. Luke working the head, then shoots a single to a double for the TD, 15-2. End. RT @ 1:22 for Luke

Per 3
NC takes bottom. Luke working an arm bar, but can't turn him. Luke goes for a bow-and-arrow, and tilts NC and gets swipes. He's trying to pin him, but NC rolls over. With NF, it's a 19-2 TF, at 6:08 for Luke.

11-0, PSU
