Nice match by Levi, he had early trouble working through the hand-fighting but finished strong both times he got in on legs.
Hidlay's opponent (Hajdari, Macedonia) wanted no part of Hidlay. 11-1, and two fleeing cautions.
I’m rather enjoying Spey’s commentary—especially on towel & cold spray technique.
That Vikash vs Valiev match was really something. Valiev had a 6-0 lead early in the first and then utterly gassed. He used every lunger trick in the book though and some how got a go behind at the buzzer to win. It seemed impossible with how bad he was hurting but he is now exhibit a on how they need to tighten up those rules.

I feel dumb for what I am about to ask but I have never had much ability to watch international events and have really just watched and participated in folkstyle. For team scoring at these, do bonus point wins matter at all?

Roman looked great! He’s really figured out how to “look engaged” for the UWW refs, not to mention set up his offense. Being at stillwater/mexico aside, I’m so happy for him.
He definitely has worked on his upper body strength. Kind of matured into UWW bod
Spencer with a 10-0 quick tech—got a lace a couple of times. Thought he may have given up the chest wrap exposure on his first attack, but the judges thought not.

Really encouraging how well our first-timers are looking. Some of it could be the rest of the world looking less than great, but all our guys are really aggressive.
Nope. I'm in a hot tub at a Maryland lake house, watching the leaves begin to turn. The opposite of being there.
