Vrabel will have them ready--no doubt about that. Maye has to play better than he has this post season though if they're going to win
I always liked Seattle, going back to the Curt Warner, Steve Largent, Jim Zorn days. I didnt like them so much under Pete Carroll but I like this version.

100% agreed, but it wouldnāt have mattered after all, they couldnāt get the stop in time.
I still think was best chance because if even if they did get the TD there, it would have left Seattle time to score and 4 downs every try. If Seattle was still leading by 1 point they would have punted the first time they faced a 4th down.
Well, they did go 4-13 which allowed them to draft Maye. Then they followed with another 4-13 season and another high draft pick. Something the Steelers refused to let happen despite that probably being the best route to a resurgence.Can we fire Tomlin! Patriots reload everyone and they go back to Super Bowl.
Pats also spent over $200m in free agency... The key for them is having a top-ish tier QB on a rookie contract.
Their defense and particularly their secondary blew the game. They were atrocious and fitting they couldn't get off the field on that final Seattle drive. How many 3rd and 7 or more did they give up? Also, they should have used more clock on their last drive of the first half but left too much time on the clock and their Swiss cheese secondary predictably gives up a TD in like 30 seconds. And yes that fumbled punt was middle school esque.
Their defense sucked. No guarantee they see the ball again. Once they missed on 4th down, there were still about 5 minutes to go and Seattle on their own 7. McVey thought he could get the ball back and you would think that is a distinct possibility. However because their D is so soft they let Darnold and Seattle run out the clock essentially.
Are you suggesting that NFL teams spend more $$$ on younger players while College teams spend more $$$ on older players?

True.The Niners were in the same situation with Purdy. Now, they had to pay him, which makes it more difficult to put weapons around him.
Because like so many other coaches going for it on fourth down it failed. Have looked at my wife frequently BEFORE plays where coaches go for it on 4th down and told her hereās another coach losing his mind because some geek sitting at a computer creates a chart which says when you should go for it or not.
