ES is top dawg - everyone else is fighting for 2nd , Idk who really going be good bc Wilkes co area school have had a lot changes and all. Forbush will lack size .

I think West Wilkes will have a good year. I could see them 3RD maybe 2ND. North Wilkes loses a lot.

I am curoius to know how good Wilkes Central might be in 2023.

They finished 7-4 and averaged scoring 35 points a game last fall. That’s impressive.

If their roster is correct…they are bringing everybody back.

If you will recall…they were ahead at half against Robinson in that 1st playoff game as well.

I also noticed they dropped Avery County from the schedule and added 4a Alexander Central…that’s a big step up!

They might just give East Surry a fit this year.

What do you mean updates? I'm sure it will be the same old Central. I mean cannon is a hell of a coach. But you can't do anything about kids who don't want to be coached. And parents who don't want their kids to be coached. Put a piece of tape over all the parents mouths, get all those kids in those halls out for football. We'll Central would be one of the best two-a programs in the state. And that's no joke. But they don't work hard. They don't lift weights. They're not tough at all. Them and west. It'll always be the same.

Thats right. I remember you telling me that a few months ago. They will probably do alright in the conference and exit out of the 1st round of the playoffs.

West Wilkes best season that i am aware of was 2001. They beat Charlotte Catholic 52-0 in the 1st rd of the playoffs. That was a couple of years before Catholic put in their system

I don't think that the problem at West is lifting. And working. I think they generally just don't have a lot of talent. There's not a lot of very good athletic talent. Maybe for baseball or something like that but not for anything else. That's just my opinion though That's just my opinion though. You got a point of it seems like they would get those big strong boys to just run downhill and mash people. Instead they're in the spread and grab like that
