East Rutherford, with losses only to Shelby and South Point, could be a roadblock for Reidsville in the second round.

I see Randleman playing Reidsville in the west finals.. it will be one hell of a game.
There is a scenario, remote I know, where orange/blue team could play ER in 2nd round then Wheatmore in 3rd...

Thought they did away with that whole pod thing?

I may be wrong but let's play the games before we crown Reidsville the champion as far as I know they may be 20points better than anybody else and then again they have not played one team as good as East Rutherford or Mountain Heritage so let's just see what happens I feel good about Mountain Heritage chances this year ,there defence is good and they are strong on the offencre line and we have one of the very best coaches in the state being Joey Robinson he built this program out of nothing to now a team that can win any game they play we were close last year we took Reidsville right down to the last play so like I said let's see what happens

It’s also a wait and see if you guys are better than Northwest Guilford or Winston Salem Reynolds.

I'm not crowning Reidsville anything yet. They haven't played a lot of quality opponents. Winston-Salem Reynolds and Northwest Guilford are both in the 4-A playoffs so they aren't that bad but they do having sub .500 records. Morehead (6-5) is in the 3-A playoffs and they gave the Rams their closest game (20-13). The only other team with a winning record they played was Carrboro, which played a weak non-conference schedule to finish 6-4.
That said, the Rams are very talented and they could make some real noise in the post-season.

All goes back to what every one says reidsville is young but mighty. Heard one football player say the week they played morehead they barely practiced and didn’t take morehead seriously and it showed. I think reidsville is gonna give evey team they play in playoffs a run for their money. They have many good players. And they have also moved some JV players up

They don’t realize Northwest Guilford and Reynolds are 4a and would present challenges to most 2a teams. I don’t think either team is good but put those teams and 2a and they look better.

Ram Fan .... Did you see the size of those JV call-ups? Freshmen are 145, 130, 130, 155, 142. Pound-for-pound very tough kids, but that's not a lot of pounds.

I don’t see none of the teams randleman has to play in the 1-3 games that could beat them.

There is one thing I've noticed about reading these threads thru the years is that Reidsvilles fans are the most respectful and some of the most noligeable fans you will ever see they never brag about there team win or lose and they never really let you know how good Reidsville really iI went to Hudl .com today trying to see some Reidsville highlights and the had the videos locked why is that all I can figure is Reidsville don't want nobody to scout there team I may be wroung but I watch Mountain Heritage videos on Hurl

But do these teams not play pretty tough schedules in their own right??

Trust me I’m a proponent of the rams playing up

It seemed so long ago now, but you Reidsville guys saw the Mauney kid his freshman year, he and another talented freshman named Jadacus Logan, now 6’4 295. Logan ended up transferring, I think after his freshman year, to Wake Forest High where he’s currently wreaking havoc. Had he stayed at East, East really would be a formidable opponent. I expect Reidsville to win, if you guys do indeed meet, but they are a capable, dangerous bunch, if you’re not on your A game. Mauney, unfortunately, plays both ways, though, and against a Reidsville, that’s not a good thing, he could get worn out. He’s the truth, though, a fantastic football player. East has to beat Maiden first, though, and I expect them to, but think it will be closer than some expect. Mauney as a freshman vs The Rams below.

And for the record, Reidsville won that game, obviously. Didn’t post the highlights to throw shade or anything, just highlighting the young man’s capabilities. I just observe and appreciate great players from any school. The young man has had a great career at East Rutherford.

Playing both ways is the norm for Reidsville.
Yeah, for most 2A schools. Random question, though. Do you think the Pass kid will continue to play football beyond this year, considering he’s gotten offered from NC State in basketball, getting a lot of attention in hoops? What’s the buzz on that?

His dad is the basketball coach. I think eventually he will pick basketball. But I expect him to get so big time football offers after the year. He kind of reminds me of a sophomore borders.

lol...thanks for the link...yeah I remember that kid....obviously a good one....Rams were pretty mediocre that year 2015 at 9-4....that was first round win vs. E.R....then we got nailed by Lincolnton.....of course the next year (2016)..the Rams won it all and since that game you put the highlight link up the Rams are
42-2.......................................

Its my belief Pass will continue to play both and continue to see what offers come in. The dad Coach Pass wants him to play both and supoorts him fully playing football. Regardless which one he decides health is biggest factor. With support behind him I'd expect him to do well.

This Rams team is dominated by sophs. The middle school team this year probably is the most talented ever. And yes, I remember the Ray Ray Butchee group.

Some of the Reidsville coaches believe as many as 3 or 4 freshman next year from the middle school could start next year. And they have great size and height.

So, yes the outlook is bright to say the least.

Lion, is Mauney the running back that is committed to Purdue?

First off east Rutherford has no defense, they have 2 fast players. Reidsville will beat them. As for the bracket I see mt heritage giving reidsville good game, but the rams have to many athletes then move on and win state.

it was good game against Mt Hertiage last year when Reidsville played them. I always enjoy playoffs for Reidsville, enjoy them playing some competition, regular season is typically boring
