Let me be the first to congratulate the Hibriten Panthers on a great season and their first State Championship. You guys went out and earned it. Hibriten capitalized on every mistake that ED made. Once again, Congrats!

As for my Blue Panthers, keep your heads held high boys! You guys made history for East Duplin and made all of us proud. There’s nothing to be ashamed of. At the end of the day, I’m proud of you guys for all of your accomplishments.

Two great defenses that absolutely showed out tonight. Hibriten got one more big play than East Duplin -- that made the difference. A lot of credit to Haney and the punt team, too. Consistently flipped the field and forced ED to start drives DEEP in their own territory. Beamer said it - been a long time coming. They're partying tonight in Lenoir!!! Congrats HHS Panthers!
