In the spirit of saving everyone some time, I will be preemptive with the following comments.

1. I hated it.
2. I quit watching the halftime show back in '82
3. They call that music
4. The youth of today is lost
5. Why don't they put on artists that I like
6. I didn't understand one word
7. I muted the sound and made myself something to eat.

Feel free to add

The halftime show is the perfect length to get everything cleaned up so there's nothing to do after the game ends.

It appears the NFL has decided to go all in on catering to one demographic. Good luck to them.

I watched an episode of Cops.
I watched the old 1970s movie, Westworld, with Yule Brenner, flipped over briefly to see the score at the beginning of the third quarter, then watched old episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond. I just couldn't find anything about the game that interested me.

I was happy to see the Chiefs blown out by anybody. I'm just tired of hearing about them constantly.

Whenever I need a good dose of race talk and old white men with unrealistic and ridiculous sports takes, I come here.

Right because they haven't done that at all in the past.... your age and whiteness are showing.
They have been moving in that direction for a while now but this Super Bowl was 100% all in. If the NFL thinks focusing on the poorest 12% of the population as their target market to build for the future, they must have some market research that backs that decision.

Never fails. Gamecock Central complaining about the Super Bowl Entertainment. Surprised there are no threads complaining how Jon Batiste sung the National Anthem. Super Bowl was pure comedy and irony to me. Our MAGA president returns only to be greeted by the Blackest Super Bowl ever. Even the MAGA half-black QB lost.

GAWD, What I started as a satire regarding past comments from SB Halftime shows turns into a Controversial Racial thread.

Congratulations Gamecock Central.
What I said was meant in satire to my friend. Sorry that you didn't notice the irony and how hilarious it was. What made anything said in here controversial. Quoting the obvious is not meant to be controversial. Samuel Jackson as "Uncle Sam". That was funny man. Stop being so uptight.

The hype and virtue-signalling surrounding the SB makes it completely UNFUN. And to watch bazillionaire celebs in their multimillion dollar boxes, mewing to the cameras makes it more UNFUN. SB 59 was a bloated, overcooked, overpriced, ripe rotten carcass of a stupid sporting event, with stupid outfits, dumb haircuts, crip walking morons, a ridiculous rendition of the SPB, and lousy halftime music. The only saving grace was the fantastic New Orleans jazz music that shoulda been the main attraction. But we all know, we’re just a horribly racist, misogynistic, backwards country with no redeeming qualities we should be apologizing profusely for. /sarcasm button

Come on man. Nobody was saying all that. So, you liked the jazz music. There was something for you. Be glad in that. However, stop being so uptight about things that are meant for someone else. If whatever entertainment you liked came on, it's not going to upset me to to the point of making posts voicing my displeasure. That's the point.

They trend to where pop culture is. If you don't like it, not sure what to tell you but they aren't going to throw some irrelevant act up there. Not sure they are doing anything any differently in the last 10-20 years. Not everyone will like it..
