I may be wrong, but it seems like when the Cards rush 3 they give up chunks nearly every time they do this. I don't know enough about the sport so maybe you guys can help me out.

It seems like the 3 man pass rush is a losing strategy.

I watch other teams and they bring the heat on 3rd and long it seems nearly every 3rd and long Louisville is sending 3 guys and the opponent gets the 1st D.

Well you have a 3 man pass rush and their receivers have a 5 to 10 yard cushion so I think that is why it wasn’t successful. I kept waiting for them to apply pressure on that last drive because their quarterback wasn’t doing very well handling the pressure. Unfortunately it never came and we paid the price.

Any strategy can be effective. The results show that it isn’t effective for us. We don’t have elite pass rushers and apparently we don’t have a secondary that can cover big receivers. I think Bryan Brown knows what he’s doing but not sure he’s gonna be here after this season. It’s just not working.

You are NOT wrong. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. That is apparently our defensive strategy once we get a nice lead.

Virginia had it first and goal at the 4, we had three up front and dropped 8……FROM THE 4 YARD LINE!!!!
Satterfield said on the post game that we just don’t have the depth to get pressure on the QB late in games while rushing 3. Well no **** Sherlock. A 3 man rush will RARELY get to the QB no matter how fresh they are. But especially late in the game.

Mark Richt pointed that out and had a smirky sh!7 eating grin on his face when he said it and all of the other commentators agreed, as do I.

Brown couldn't hold Richt's clipboard, so I'm trusting my eyes and another elite DC over any BS I see on one of the overhyped BS videos BB puts out.

Oh yeah, @BB please stop making a spectacle of yourself "rallying the defense" while you jump around like a fool with them pre-game. People are making fun of us now because of you. Just do your job.....

My problem is that EVERYONE could see that Armstrong makes mistakes if you put pressure on him, so WTF couldn't our DC?

Every time we put pressure on him, he either threw a pick, took the sack or threw an incompletion. But NOOOOOO, by all means, stick with the 3 man pass rush....
