So the three point record was broken yesterday. The record was at one time, J. J. Redick's.
Fletcher Magee broke Travis Bader's record and they each have played roughly the same amount of games (about 136).
When you look at the guys above JJ and below it just stands out to me that each of them are at really small schools while JJ was at top program.
In other words, it seems to me that the only one in the top five of career 3 point made who ever face real competition was JJ.
To be clear, it is Magee's record fair and square and he earned it. But JJ did so against far better competition night in and night out. Just makes me appreciate how special JJ was because good defense's were SO locked in on him and he still got his.
