That seems like a no-brainer. Take the points.

I'm not impressed with Michigan's starting QB Cade McNamara. He's OK. McCarthy clearly is the future at UM and he has been getting some time at the helm.

Can we get to 20 points vs. the Wolverines? I think so. Will take a big game from RH.

Reasonable based on Vegas not knowing what to make of our team.

If we play like we did against Rutgers, I think we make a game of it and have a decent shot at winning.

Missed last game. Can’t tell if we looked good from the board or not since plenty are still bitching about everything. We must have looked good against RU or this would be higher. Wouldn’t be surprised if it ended at 24.

Line opened at Michigan -19 and quickly moved to -21.

Normally you always take NU as underestimated dogs, but UM is good this year and we struggle against the teams with top athletes. I'd be very happily surprised if we cover.

We looked a lot better. Actually tackled, missed only a few assignments, defense looked like the "adjustments" were more like "do what you used to do that actually worked". My guess is that Fitz has taken charge of the D for the time being until JON has that surgery to remove his head from his a$$

The optimists are thinking RU is at least as good as Duke, albeit with less...weapons...on offense. Pessimists are saying yeah but RU is 0-4 in the B1G. They committed a ton of dumb penalties, some of which were actually called. But...they scored less against us than they did against UM, OSU and MSU

Hilinski is solid. He isn't all B1G but made decent reads, a few bad throws but a few good throwaways under pressure too. He's going to be ok. We couldn't run the ball much, that was concerning, but the WR's look pretty good.

Michigan, as far as I can see, is as good or better than MSU. Looks like passing not as strong, but better rushing and better defense. Maybe the best team we play all year. I despise Michigan, but perhaps a non-embarrassing loss is the best we can expect at this point.

Interesting point - I happened to be sitting next to a bunch of 95/96 team members, and one of them remarked that Gowins once said that kicking in that stadium is like kicking in a wind tunnel. Made me feel a little remorse for piling on Charlie, although he doesn't seem to be "miss at home/make on the road", as far as I can tell.

So I took the points ....and made bets with all my UM relatives....Hairball is arrogant and desperate...will spend the bye week preparing for OSU.......and ignoring NU....we will come out and play it tight to the vest.....

I'm not a betting man, but I like the Cats +21 here. Not saying by any stretch that we win the game, but I feel pretty optimistic we keep it within 21. My guess is final score is something like 27-17 Michigan or something in that range. Michigan is clearly better than us, but I still believe our offense is better than it gets credit for and if what we saw on Saturday from our defense is indicative of what we'll see going forward, I think this will be a competitive game.

Pretty much my take on the game if we play like we did against Rutgers.

We looked OK. D was much better but RU did pleanty of shooting themselves in the foot. Offense was reasonable but we made a lot of mistakes

Michigan has some really good running backs including at least one with breakaway speed. If we are covering the running lanes like we did against Nebraska, things could get ugly. If we can stop the run the way we did with Rutgers (who has a pretty nice back of their own that we held in check), then we can battle with them. I am not blown away by their QB and they certainly don't have the wide receiver talent that Michigan State does.

The difference is that Michigan's defense is much better than MSU's. We may struggle to move the ball, but if we can hit a couple big plays and stay away from turnovers, a blow-out loss is avoidable. I really don't think we can win, but stranger things have happened with the Cats.
