Hagan was solid Nebraska commit until McCartney brought up colors to his moms. Red? in a crip neighborhood?

As much as I despised cu, and for the most part, still do, I do give Billy Mac credit for raising the dead much like Devaney and Snyder did to UNL and K-State. And he almost had Tommie Frazier convinced that cu was a good fit until he got stupid and changed his offense. Another thing he did was get some real good assistants that could coach and recruit, something that has been lacking for many years at cu.

Mean to say but does anyone remember the chant " Sal's dead, Go Big Red" bad chant but many in Husker Nation felt Bill McCartney used his death as a motivation to beat us! Many said he never liked Sal, not just because he was doinking his daughter but also because of his race. Always felt and still do that BM is a total fake with his own agenda!

It's been an interesting documentary. Maybe McCarthy did some good things at sCUm, but I still find some of his antics weird. Of course, after hearing what he said about Nebraska in this documentary that the bad weather was good day in Nebraska, and one of their dirtbags comically saying what the "N" stands for as "knowledge", I think I hate them even more than I did.

Yeah, I kinda do too. Always found him to be a bit of a hypocrite. IDK. Maybe his intentions were good. But I still have negative feelings about him.

Colorado has the most classless fans ever. It's funny watching them tearing up our fans. The 30 for 30 should be on the worst team ever to win the national title

They talk about their game against Michigan in 94, but you notice nothing about at Lincoln that season. Don't want to talk about that do they? This stinks of Chris Fowler. That they tried to put us in a bad light, just shows how much they looked up to big brothers NU and OU.

Stinks of Matt Schick too! I think he is handle name Sal Aunese on rivals. That pos is from the hogeye site. Both teams got the s#!t kicked out of them by NU over the years. Think I know why that pos jumps on every thread about NU.

In 99 that pos bill McCartney aka bowl movement was on during the telecast of the KSU at NU game saying NU fans shouldn't be so quick to claim the Big 12 North title so quick, as NU was boat racing the purple people eaters. Just showed his hate towards NU.

2nd worst behind 1984 BYU. The 1991 Miami team would have beat CU without a doubt had they played in the OB. What so pissed me off about that era was CU was lucky enough in 89 and 90 to get to play the Domers and not Miami or FSU. Nebraska never got so lucky when all the marbles were on the line under TO except for 97.

On top of that, in 90 they tied Tenn and lost to what ended up being a 4 loss Illinois team. So if Coloroado is the 1990 National Champions, then Nebraska is the 1982, 83, and 93 champions.

" Sal's dead, Go Big Red"

My sister went to the 89 game in Boulder. A bunch of Husker fans chanted that in some Boulder bar she was at before the game. Probably not our greatest moment as fans. I agree though, I've heard BM never really liked the guy.

I watched this 30 for 30 in its entirety today. I laughed at the part about Sal Aunese where they are puffing their chests about beating out NU for his signature. They never beat NU with him, and NU already had Steve Taylor and Mickey Joseph on campus. Sal would've been standing on the sidelines. I will admit, Hagan would've been nice to have as a link between Taylor and Frazier.

I guarantee you if they do a 30 for 30 on the 95 huskers, the focus will be on off-field issues, before, during and after that season, and very little of it will be spent on the greatness of TO, the product on the field or the 95% who never had an issue.

Ok, I didn't say we cried in our beers over losing Hagan. But maybe you did over losing Frazier. I'll bet you did. What happened between 92 and 95 assures that. Do they still have a football program in Boulder?

Nope. We landed Koy Detmer which is why Frazier was told he'd be a DB. Also had Kordell already on campus. Worked out for both and yes, losing that 1994 game in Lincoln still hurts. 1994 was probably our best team ever, kinda like your 1995 team Tommie lead.

21 of 22 starters from our 94 team had at least a cup of coffee in the NFL. That was a very good team who crapped the bed in Lincoln, otherwise they win the MNC IMO. Your 1995 team was very good, maybe one of the best ever. I wouldn't go as far as sniffing - but to each their own.

let's be real though. they lost to a backup qb against us in a game that wasn't even close and needed a 70 yd hail mary to win another game. that's not even near 95 neb's level. don't kid yourself.

I hear ya, puffie fan thinks they were on NU's level, and maybe they were in 89 and 90, but that even is questionable.

Kordell's worst game ever. Credit to the 94 Nebraska defense and scoreboard. They were both elite teams - Nebraska was better that day. Maybe someday one of our programs will get back to that level.

Pretty sure NU will be, but the puffies.... meh not so much. What happened in the late 80s early 90s is the best you'll ever have. And NU was not that great then.
