Gonna go on a little rant here…
First… They should have never changed it from 42 to 35
Secondly… A.L. Brown this year has had a team ask to not even play the 2nd half of a game at all because “they are hitting our players to hard”, had 2 teams ask to only play 10 minute quarters in the 2nd half, and last night they started the running clock before we were even up 35 points…

I get you don’t want to get blown out BUT those are minutes for the 2nd string to get some reps and figure things out. Heck last night, I think both teams only got the ball 2 times in the second half.

I’m sure a lot of yall will disagree with this but it’s just my opinion on it!

To be fair, never said the fans wanted it lol. Admins pushed for it. Especially Cox Mill.

But if Iredell Statesville gets its way next realignment…. There’s a chance we’re back in y’all’s conference lol

Something about Cox Mill I’m not fan of. Last couple times I went to see a game they wouldn’t let you in until 30 mins before game time. And that was 6:30. Then just heard about starting a clock with 15 min timer and if your not out of there your in the dark. Now above statement Cox Mill wanted the running clock

As for the running clock. They should kept it at 42 and don’t start the running clock until the start of the 4th quarter.
I agree. And I would even go far as saying the coaches should agree on the 42 point threshold before the game. The coach that is losing say 49-0 may still want his kids to get the work in and in game experience. That should not be taken away if that is what the coach on the losing end wants.

I watched a game last year where it was late in the 3rd quarter where they still had one of the star players still in it. The game was out of hand with running clock going. Unless they are short of players I think all the starters should be pulled. With running clock going the game goes quick.

I agree totally. The best defense in the state is this NCHSAA rule.
