I really like Coach Z and what he has done for BMac.
Did anyone else find it wrong when BMac was up 50-7, getting the kickoff and start to lateral 3-4times?
It sure looked like it was a designed/called lateral return.
Though it was bush league.
You are up 42 points, middle return and not get someone hurt.

Agree...did the players do it on their own??
That's a hard one to call and usually if players do something goofy like that you see the coaches on the sidelines go crazy and start getting in players faces I didn't see any of that which leads me to believe they condone that type of bush league play.i might be reaching here but I didn't see any reaction from the coaches.

I am no fan of the privates but I never have understood this stuff. BMac hadn't played their skilled guys in a while. They get a chance to play after a Unity touchdown and they should have taken a knee??? When did we think teams should quit playing for 24 minutes??? You practice that play all year, you expect an onside kick, you might as well run it. When it's your team winning with a running clock, you want them to continue to play hard. Now...it's bush league. Sorry I guess, I just don't get the "quitting cause you winning " thing!!!!

The game must have been like a never ending nightmare for you.

But it was bush league.

Not at all, we beat them head to head last year, only reason they were playing tonight was because they went 3A thanks to declining enrollment.. everyone in this area knows full well those top 3-4 kids aren't paying tuition and it was shady as hell when they enrolled there..

Huh?
This has nothing to do with Public/Private.

Never said take a knee........play hard, middle return.
You are up 42 points with 5 minutes to go, running clock.
You really need a trick play to score?

Most teams that are running clock against someone run fullback/RB dives between the tackles, if they score so be it, not running double reverses!
It should apply to kickoffs as well.

I switched it off in the 2nd quarter. Between the blowouts and the announcing.....

Is it possible that some of the private players go to schools to extend their religious education?

Credit for what??? Winning 3A with an all star team??

HHS have you ever coached any team at any level? Do you know what it takes - hours commitment, etc to lead a group of young men to a title? All star team or not if you haven't you should try it some time. You'll have a much greater appreciation.

Whether it's youth or HS you shouldn't diminish what you have no understanding of.

And the kids that get screwed over by the rules work just as hard and often even harder..

Who gets screwed by the rules exactly? If the rules were so slanted to the private schools every private school would win every game against public schools. I have coached several kids that are playing private school ball. They had a choice to go to Carmel or go to Warren. They chose Carmel because that's what they wanted to do. They aren't getting screwed that way they made a choice. Some make a choice to play at a public school and they don't get screwed that way either.

What you continually fail to grasp is most times this is a choice by the families and the kids. Nothing wrong with that at all. The only thing wrong is bitterness by too many people.

You wanna shut up the private schools and their fans, beat them. It's not impossible or implausible. It's doable. Hard work good coaching good game plans. It has worked in the past.
