With us fighting for a presumed #7 BIG seed in the NCAA's with Purdue and Michigan, it's necessary for us to be solid on the road since we only play Michigan and Purdue away.

Just an interesting stat, 4-0, that really doesn't mean anything yet other than it is interesting and could mean something down the road.

Maybe I'm way off about Purdue and Michigan and the Cats, but from my perspective, it's going to be really hard for us to reach anything higher than perhaps the #7 seeded team in our conference, although I think it is unlikely we fall below #8.

For once, I completely agree. Right now looking at remaining schedules, it is likely that at best NU will finish 8th, unless they can pull some upsets. And in that case I doubt they get an at-large bid. So winning against the "down" teams won't be enough to get in, they need at least 1 win against a top half team. And one upset loss against Illinois, Minny, Nebraska, Rutgers or PSU will be a killer.

Illinois is interesting. They still have talent, and we have to show up against even PSU at home. That said, I think we are capable of a solid upset. Not sure when Olah comes back but his presence would really help us against Purdue later in the year. IMO we miss the NCAA's but I feel we are capable of becoming a top 6 BIG team this year, I'm just not sure about the experience or Olah, so I think we finish #8, which is fantastic given our best player [Law] missed the whole season. At any rate, I think we are a good team but nothing 'wow' but the BIG doesn't seem to have any steamrollers, for that reason, I think we can upset anyone.

There are 3 teams I think NU has no shot of beating: @MD, MSU, and @Iowa.

Don't know about "no shot". Low probability, maybe, But none of these would be more shocking to me than the Illini's win over Purdue, which was a terrible, terrible matchup for them.

I think NW is very good.

I also believe that the Terps are the best team in BIG. iowa looks very good now obviously as well.

I have always liked your guards. And Olah. You may catch us tonight looking ahead to Sparty in EL on Saturday. I hope not. Y'all can give us all the trouble we need. Dez Wells last second hero shot last year stands as evidence.

We definitely need Alex Olah tonight. It should at least make things respectable. Your guards will kill us though with open 3's. You pricks don't miss, dammit!

And we definitely can win tonight. We have to shoot well, and our defense has to be tenacious against "African Trilogy" "Come She Come say.....Soulai Soulai Soulaimon", and we have to have someone on T out there as well.

We did not need Olah tonight, and may have won if he didn't play.

I think it was more than respectable, even though we lost.
