Yes, it does. You don't think the Huskers will be fired up if they're ranked and have a ranked opponent coming to town? They've heard it forever and will hear it all that week (if we're ranked) how bad Rhules record is against Top 25 opponents. You don't think our guys will be fired up to go out and win and change that narrative? History means nothing in this day n age of college football where every year a new team is bought. Last year and the years before that mean nothing. I'm not saying they'll beat Indiana but using "history" of hype as your barometer is dumb.
Also, Rhule hasn't been on Mcafee in almost a year now..

Being “fired up” prior to a game just doesn’t really translate to much on the field in real games. Totally overrated
