While I know how some are gonna take this, I don't care.....

Last season, under poor S&C, a toxic HC who brilliantly calls for an onside kick in the third quarter while up on NW, a "round peg, square hole" OC, with a defense that couldn't stop a bloody nose and ST that was short-bus special, NU STILL was in most games. Sweet Gawd Almighty, if the team just has mediocre coaching it should get to 8-9 wins against this year's schedule.
We’ve been close. Really, really close

We’ll see. Hopefully this isn’t a situation like the year after we canned Riley. We didn’t think it could get any worse after Mike’s last year.
I think it could be the total opposite. After 4+ years of having a head coach who paid iittle attention to details to moving to a coach who pays attention to every detail.

For the first time in many years, NU could now be that team that has 15-20 good quality players who languished on the bench with no hope of contributing finally being given a chance, and are hungry to show what they can do.

The Omar Brown', Singletons' and those types who likely have the physical tools to really play a lot of snaps or at least provide some decent quality depth.

I'm convinced the S & C program along with the nutrition upgrade will surprise the hell out of people in terms of quickness and the additional power some of these guys will have achieved over the last several months.

If NU has had many of our big people engaged in some serious dexterity, flexibility, agility work for months on end, they will be significantly improved in terms of strength, mobility and their increase in being able to execute techniques that they previously may not have been trained/physically able to perform.

This is not going to be a soft football team. It may not translate into wins, but it seems this entire coaching staff has been working toward the same goal. I happen to think it will translate into wins on the football field.

One need look no farther than when Urban Meyer was going to be hired at OSU. He told them, he would only take the job if he was able to hire his S & C coordinator from Florida. That's how important that phase of a program is if you're going to give your squad the best chance to compete.
