Our record against UGA, UT and Florida since going to Divisions in the early 90's.

BTW, to answer your question those 3 schools in basketball have a winning percentage 3 times higher than we do in football.

UT shows you how it's done! Program is down right now, but they still showed how pride and playing at home can and should give a team an advantage.....except Kentucky! Lost to a dumpster fire UGA at home with sec east lead on the line! Now that's what I call culture change.....

The same UGA team that just beat a top 10 team? You all are classic fools.

It is humorous that a poster who has a Rupp photo for his avatar acts put off when someone compares basketball to football on a thread where he essentially admits he has no real point.
Damn, I thought my avatar was Bear Bryant. Need to change it. I am just as big of a UK football fan as I am basketball. Wasn't put off at all by his question about basketball. I think a better question for basketball would have been to look at South Carolina's record against Kentucky, Florida and Tennessee during that same time period. As for the point of the thread, people on the board can talk about competing for an SEC East title all they want. Until we compete, and at times win, with those 3, we aren't going anywhere. Captain obvious? Absolutely, I will admit that. The number is still striking when you actually see it. No earth shattering information here, just up early with my little guy eating breakfast and watching cartoons.

No it wouldn't make sense, because South Carolina is a much better program than we are and the three you listed (UGA, UF and UT) are also much better.

A better comparison would be someone like Miss. State or Ole Miss against the good teams in their division. They are better, but not much better. Ole Miss has about 30,000 more things going for it than UK in football, and they still haven't played in an SECCG either.

Thanks for the thread, op. Some have decided to ***** and whine if they catch the slightest scent of acknowledging stoops/the program still has a looooong way to go.

My bad, I told you it was Bear ...

On a serious note, if someone has an avatar of horse racing, does that mean they cannot like or comment on anything else? Back to the OP. Yep, we gotta compete with those 3 EVERY year and then beat them. It's a process in FB.

I was talking about a basketball comparison with South Carolina, not a football comparison

OK, troll. Go away.
It's a good thing we played SCAR when we did or we wouldn't even be bowl eligible with a win against A P. SCAR would beat the brakes off UK right now! You go away! I fart in your general direction! [poop]

Not trying to make a touchy thread even touchier but I pull for all things UK, not just football and basketball. But you have to admit those two sports are by far the most popular and visible on a daily basis. I can see where it looks like the OP is beating a dead horse here but really, 4-68 ? To put it mildly, that is off the charts bad. I still wouldn't like it if those teams were undefeated worldbeaters for the past 50 years but they're not. We've had our chances in the past 5-10 years to beat them when they were average at best and this year (at least on paper) we had them when they were further down than at most any time imaginable. I used to just accept football failure and I guess I need to keep that mindset. But the OP makes a really good point even if it ruffles your feathers.

I am one that also appreciates the OP. I don't even look at the avatar but the content of the post. It is indeed another good reminder. Stoops should plaster it to the locker room walls! We need to play with a chip on our shoulders!

OP makes a great point. We already have the delusional posters "predicting" an 8 win (even read 9) season next year in 2017.

You have almost 4 built n losses with UT , FL, UL and UGA on the schedule. So people think we are going to win the other 8? With all the swing games on the road minus Missouri in 2017? People need to look at the schedule before just making an outlandish prediction. Now could we beat UL next year? Sure why not. I don't see us winning against UT or FL or UGA though (hell the OP's stat and common sense as a UK fan know we are not beating them most likely).

The same thing could be said in the other direction.... we lost to Southern Miss by 2 scores who lost to Charlotte, possibly the worst team in Div 1. Also lost to Old Dominion yesterday.
It matters about playing in the moment and we have opportunities but throw them away.

What's their record against those teams under Barnhart vs the 17 years before? It's what I've been telling you people for 10 years.
