Okay, I'll play along. Who is CC?
As an aside, I would LOVE if posters on here, especially when they are starting a post about a single school, would spell out the name of the school. Just in the first post or the title. After that, abbreviate away!

Coal City is getting 4 straight home games. I have seen it happen previously at least twice. It certainly is a rare occurrence, however.

One example was Rochelle in 2002. They had 4 home games.

Wow, I thought you HAD to travel. Guess things can happen where you don’t have to?

Sorry my friend! Coal City. But a simple once over from the brackets would tell you who!! Just saying. And just for the record I’m not for or against this team just heard that they’ll have 4 home games in the playoffs.

Same here. I thought it was written in the bylaws that you had to play at least 1 road game in the playoffs.

Of course it is not in the rules. Both Coal City and Richmond Burton have played 3 straight home games. They play each other next. One of them HAS to be at home for the fourth time.

Both teams have hosted 3 games. Therefore, who gets to host stays true to seeding. It happens every few years or so.

You can go to IHSA.org and research. It happens when all games are won by higher seed.
I’m well aware of how the home/away teams are figured in the playoffs. The Simple question was how many times has this happened? Nothing more nothing less!

Has this ever been done 4 games at home? Congrats to CC! On a serious note how many times Has this been done?

About ten years ago, Mt Carmel played four playoff games at Gately Stadium, but one as visitors against a CPS school. I'll never forget their field announcer telling a kid that a fumbled ball "is to your left." He still didn't get it.

There has not been a single upset in 4A north, so the higher seed has played at home. I dare say this is the result, at least the first two rounds, of the CPS strike pushing all the CPS teams to road games round 1.

This will be Coal City's sixth straight home game, and the grass is in stunningly good condition after 5 straight...
