One thing I haven't seen discussed too much was the lack of turnovers. After the Michigan game where we failed to value possessions and had costly turnovers on some poor decisions, we bounced back in a big way with only 4 turnovers

For a team that doesn't shoot well and struggles to score, valuing possessions and limiting TOs is so important. It's a huge reason we were able to pull this miracle comeback off

Great point and post. This has been key to our success over the years under Pike. For most teams it’s elementary, but for us, a team that can struggle to score, it’s crucial.

Yeah that was a huge part of the comeback . But this has been a bugaboo all year. . The endless dribbling , late shot clock , drives baseline jumping in the air with no where to go have to be eliminated. Quick crisp ball movement , high PNR with the object to shoot it , drive to the basket or throw the alley oop. Move ball to get an open shot and let it rip or drive. Better chance for Cliff to get offensive rebound on a shot attempt then when we throw it to the other team. This team is capable of less turnovers and now is the time to show it . Stop charging into guys that are set, stop moving screens ( done a great job with that lately ) , stop using your arm to hook someone when we are already past them ( Caleb and Cam ). All these things are fundamental but we need to just execute the rest of the way.

Agree . On the replay and the other side, I counted 8 fouls on Pickett between push offs, hooks, shoulders and elbows into defenders that were not called, but we certainly frustrated him in the second half.

Definitely did a better job with Turnovers. Michigan also plays much better D and is much quicker than PSU but even still, we did a much better job with that.

Pickett pushed Caleb all the way across the safety zone in the final sequence first shot and saved the air ball. I can see him getting away with some but that was just too obvious.
