It still gives me chills. I was at work and had to listen on the radio and did not get to see the game for another 20 years. It is great to be reminded how great Griff was and that BB could be played w/o a 3-pt. line.
Yes, it just gave me chills. We were watching the game at a bar on Bardstown Road and when we won, we all ran into the streets screaming and hollering. To this day, I don’t remember how I got home..
Great, great memory. Was there with my wife and two precious friends. Definitely the pinnacle of my career as a Cardinal fan. Although the win against Bama in the Fiesta Bowl was a close second. The drive back from Indy was insane. We followed the team bus with about 50 other cars. Floyd Street was still celebrating. Fans climbed on top of the team buses. It was a blast!
I watched it at home with the family in our Louisville room. I remember the announcer saying Wiley Brown wasn’t a scoring threat and he went on to make some big shots in that game. Thanks for posting the video a flashback to some great memories.
cue the Kenny Loggins. i went to the celebration at Freedom hall when the players walked through the crowd with giant speakers blasting This Is It the crowd went wild.
