Evidently no one thinks the Bears can win except Pisgah fans.We will find out Friday, then Maiden can come to Canton the next Friday.

Pisgah absolutely does. This is no gimmie. The last game proves that.
You had your big upset at ED! You get to enjoy Turkey and family this week and then you get to travel to Vanceboro to see me again!! What more could a fellow ask for?? Didn’t I treat you right the last time?
Brevard vs Pisgah is always a good game. This week Brevard will go into the game fully healthy again. First game against the tuff nose Bears was banged up and lost their starting back #5 after his first TD run on the first drive. These two teams and staffs know each other well and with a storied rivalry, it makes this a fun game like always. It seams like over the years, one of these two schools is always a factor in the playoffs. If Brevard can eliminate the two turnovers from the last meeting (one in the endzone on first down), I give the edge to the Devils.

Hard to beat the same team twice in the same year.Ask Newton [Conover about that .Happen to us at least twice over the years.
It is but it can be done. Brevard proved it last year against East Rutherford.
It really does not get any better then this. Two conference opponents, that are tied together with a rich history against each other, playing for a shot to go to the regional finals. With all the history between these two teams when they have played, you cannot really script it any better. Both teams have shown that they can play and that they deserve to be in this spot.
Should be one heck of a night in Transylvania County!

North Edgecombe played Washington County twice in the regular season this year and got smoked both times. Played for a third time in the first round of the playoffs and NE won, when it mattered the most. Crazy things happen this time of year.

Maiden vs. Hibriten should be a good game. The Blue Devils running game and offensive line play was much better vs. Newton-Conover than when we played them during the final game of the regular season. Our passing game was average at best, but we didn't really need to rely on it this particular game. The defense has been pretty solid the entire season, except for the second half vs. both 5A powerhouses Hickory and East Lincoln.
We're still capable of playing much better. We could do that by eliminating so many mistakes. During the first 14 minutes of the N-C playoff game (10 minute mark of the second quarter), we had a turnover, two shanked punts, and SIX penalties on our first four possessions. We especially need to cut down on the number of holding penalties that we get. That's been a problem the entire season, and pretty much cost us the regular season finale vs. N-C. Obviously, the fewer mistakes the better in what should be a close, competitive game vs. Hibriten.
