It’s going to be some “upsets” by seeding come second or third round anyways. No 1 or 2 seed made the championship game last year in both 3A and 4A.
Interesting this has AC Reynolds finishing behind Asheville and TC Roberson. I mean it’s possible, but I don’t see BOTH finishing ahead of us.
This not by NCHSAA seeding procedure! There are 10 conferences that has to be #1's seeded before #2's and wild cards. A wild card cannot jump a conference #1 seed.
4.1.19 Seeding:
(a) The pre-determined East and West Regions will be seeded independently of one another.
(b) The teams in each region will be seeded as follows:
(1) Seed all 1st place automatic berths by RPI rating (or other NCHSAA selected ranking system).
NOTE: The highest finishing team in its half of a split conference must finish in 1st, 2nd, or
3rd place overall and/or have an overall winning percentage of .500 or higher in order to be
seeded as a #1. Otherwise, the team will be seeded with all other at-large teams.
(2) Seed all 2nd place automatic berths and at-large berths
by RPI rating (or other NCHSAA selected ranking system).
Yep, you wait all year for the season to get here. And then it gets here and it fly’s by.
Hanging this one out there kinda early BK. Big brains? Big cahones? Both? Neither? Some pivotal games among these teams may stir this pot pretty hard between now and the end of the season. The only thing I am sure of in 4A west is that after 3-4 teams (and not necessarily your ranked order), there is a lot of parity and it will be about matchups. If you bring your B game in the first round, you will be be cleaning out your lockers on Saturday.
I feel like its all about who game plans better & what team wants it more , who are the great players on the field & the coaching
Lot of parity this year! Better bring your A game every week. Some of the lower seed team could definitely send the higher seeds home.
