How can you be a former Richmond Raider player/coach, bleed Kelly Green and Old Gold and allow these words to flow off Coach Eddins lips and not allow chill bumps to crawl up and down your skin and still be part of his staff. I would have walked out the room and put my resignation in immediately. Brad Denson has always earned my respect and one day he will guide the Mighty Raiders back to glory in the near near future….Once a Raider always a Mighty Raider. Richmond is young this year and I think by playoff time we will make some noise.
It’s not surprising to me Eddins said that. Matter of fact I saw a video of Eddins talking to Pinecrest players and saying that team 30 miles to the south had to come to Pinecrest this season and he was gonna LOCK the gate behind them Raiders when they come there. By the way.. Denson is no longer at Richmond. Don’t ask why cause I don’t know..
From what I heard, he went into the private sector. I don’t think the pay matched what he was putting into it. Don’t blame him.
He might have got a job as a greeter at Walmart. That pays more than teaching
There’s money in education, but you have to be willing to move up and out of the classroom if you’re of the academic route. Coaching-wise, you’ll either have to land a one county or tradition-rich HS or cross over to neighboring states (most notably, South Carolina) Messed up that’s it’s that way.
There's money in education when Tommy Knotts is cloned.
I expect the East to be as strong as it was last year. Cardinal Gibbons will be the team to beat. However, Rolesville, Leesville Road, Wake Forest and few other Wake County teams should give them a run. We'll get to see how much of a contender Richmond is when they match up against Cardinal Gibbons. Pinecrest is always a Darkhorse along with a few playoff teams from last year that return nearly everybody in New Bern, Hillside and Panther Creek.
I have to say as raider fan and I said this before last year season ended. The Raiders will be just okay this year . This is not because of some of the coaches change I heard of or that coach Till try to leave . Because and far as I know this is all rumors. But it is because they are young but the following season you may want to watch out

We may have lost a couple coaches and don't know if coach till was a finalist for pinecrest job or not but the sac will still run through richmond we may be young but trust me talent is there and we still have some great coaches dem raiders will be ok.
He was a finalist, but Richmond should be good in conference. Non and playoffs may be a different story, and that’s okay.
Ohk thanks 4 letting me know yes good non conference schedule tabor, gibbons, butler, southview and we will see what happens in playoffs with some good teams in the east.
Weddington, Chambers, Hough, the whole Charlotte crew and maybe Gibbons if they recruit. The rest of these Jabonies have no chance (expect for New Bern because they got dudes)
We'll have to wait for August to hear Chamber run it's mouth and for December for them to shut that same mouth.
Young and talented. They will be solid for 2022. With the youth and the coaching staff... 2023 may be a really good year
If New Bern defense plays like they played in the regular season we will make a deep run
I think they will be better than last year. I am excited at what they have at QB. He should be the best QB since Furgeson. They have a easier schedule compared to last year which allows them to gain confidence.
Richmond is still king of the SAC until someone knocks them off, which won't be anytime soon!!! 
We'll be competitive. Portal and Corvid has killed recruiting for kids getting D1 offers. Who known's how far teams will go these days. Coach P's last two years, we were put out in the 1st round, 2 years in row, after bye weeks. Both those teams were loaded. We'll see what happens. I've fount that Bragging will come back to haunt you.
Cheek was severely underrated at Butler. He was better than Ferguson to me.
Yeah Davis turned out to be one of Butler’s better QB’s. Hopefully he lands with a NFL team
Interesting. I thought Cheek had better anticipation on his throws and he had a very good deep ball.
