is K pursuing another big? Right now the 3 big rotation seems thin, especially if injuries hit....

I think we’re set. While we might only have three bigs in the traditional sense, there’s also going to be guys named Matthew Hurt and Jack White around. Neither of those two are traditional wings, either.
The opposite seems to be true - they have an abundance of options. Bolden, Javin, Carey, White, Hurt can all play at the 4 or 5.
We are very deep right now with Bolden, Carey, Javin and Hurt. However, if Bolden leaves we are thin and one injury away from being in trouble. Jack could play the 5 in an emergency but it is not ideal.
I think we're fine, and this roster is in as good a shape TOP TO BOTTOM, as its been in a while. Also to the Debbie Downers who worry about not going 10-11 deep: Dont you think K is going to place the BEST GUYS on the court who give us a chance to win????

Hurt reminds me of those fundamentally sound bigs Kansas seems to have, particularly in the 90's and 2000's.

We don’t need a 4th big unless Bolden were to leave. Then I think we would need to look for another big.
I’m hearing it’s quite firm right now with Peter Jurkin.
Wonder if landing Hurt sways Bolden one way or the other. One's a 4 and one's a 5 but there are only so many minutes. Basically agree with what @DukeRulesBasketball just said.

I think for Hurt to ever see a second at the 5, Bolden, Carey, and Javin would all have to be out for some reason. Hopefully that never occurs.
That Peter Jurkin is not as good as claimed but can fill in for emergencies.
To be honest I think Peter is soft. He can't finish. I just don't think he can expand his game to be able to make it worthwhile for Duke to have a spot for him.
I would like to remind everybody that Bolden is also one year away from getting a degree from Duke. There is some value there. I have always assumed Queeeees likes doing other things more than playing basketball.
His bones are very elastic. When it’s cold or he’s in water he tends to show signs of shrinkage.
When @ZLonghorn99 posts, he tends to do the opposite.
I saw the real Peter Jurkin play recently in Greensboro for their G-League team. He is still long and hesitant to shoot.
I wouldn't mind having a big as a transfer, however. Jordan Brown (Nevada) and Nysier Brooks (Cincinnati) are both available. Would be nice to have a capable big in 2021. Otherwise all of our bigs in 2020-21 will be freshmen.
I don’t see any reason to pursue another big man. Carey, DeLaurier, Bolden are all 5’s in a “traditional” sense. If those 3 are all unavailable, Hurt and Jack can both play the 5 in a positionless manner.
carey and javin at the 5 and hurt and jack at the 4. its not like K will go deeper. 4 man rotation down low and 5 man rotation out front. perfect
We need one of our senior bigs back. Lose both and we have no bigs. We have a big. A freshman big.
