1. Georgia Tech’s bowl trip begins Tuesday.

After reconvening Monday, the Yellow Jackets are scheduled for a Tuesday morning practice on campus and then a flight down to Jacksonville, Fla., for their week-long stay for the TaxSlayer Bowl matchup against Kentucky.

Tech will stay at a resort on Amelia Island, Fla., about 30 miles north of Jacksonville. Kentucky is staying at a resort in nearby Ponte Vedra Beach. The Wildcats arrived on Sunday.

I doubt there will be 30-40 Kentucky fans total in the stands---Kentucky is a basketball school. Would have preferred just about anybody except Kentucky. No credit if we win, and an embarrassment if we lose. I wanted LSU rematch.

This is the common misconception that we are fighting just about anywhere south of Kentucky, and we have taken a big step towards dispelling that myth. Hopefully we keep it rollin.

I would hasten to say that this "fan" doesn't nearly represent the feeling of the vast majority of GA Tech fans. Everyone I know is excited to be back in a bowl after a year's lapse, and to play UK, an old rival back from SEC days.

Please don't take knuckleheads like that seriously.
