Not unreal, imo, A natural return to the mean for a team that scored 22 in the first half. You realize 52 points is not even our largest output in a half this season, correct?

But this was a better team than Sacred Heart regardless of records. I think I heard that the HC was Tubby Smiths son. They played better D and seemed much better than their 1-10 record. They had a nice game plan.

52 pts in the half is pretty impressive when we could only muster 22 in the 1st half.

I think NU will have to play a lot of zone this year. Loyola's point guard dismantled us in the first half

Doc, I agree with you. In my opinion four things put us over the top last night. First, the zone changed the whole complexion of the game and it also simplified things for Pardon on defense and stabilized our rebounding. Second, the amazing play of Bryant McIntosh. Third, 23 minutes of solid play from Dererk Pardon, and especially the 16 minutes in the second half. Fourth, Scottie Lindsey finally relaxed and shot lights out.

Lumpkin and Lindsey played ridiculous defense last night.

And it didn't hurt that NU shot 66% from the floor in the second half....and 70% -- 7 of 10 -- from three.
