I just don't even think there were only like 6,000 not sold either. Tickets sold is what lets athletic directors get by with no changes for longer then they should. I am not saying fire Stoops now, just think that is stupid in general when you see those numbers and notice all the empty seats on tv. Next season is when tickets sold numbers will start to tank if we don't beat UL and do well at a bowl.

I've always thought it was a dumb way to do it too. When I ran a Division I basketball arena, I would check in with the AD after I was able to get the tickets sold number and then he would throw a different number at me to announce to the crowd. It was the stupidest thing.

Stadium was not really half full. I say between 25,000 - 30,000. Needs to be full Saturday and get these boys to a bowl.

I applaud everyone that went to the game. Weather was terrible. Glad you supported my team.

Tickets did not go to waste. My two sons and a future daughter in law went. Have to make sure she gets Ky Football in her cells....in the event of grand babies :)

On the high side, but close. Never 1/2 full. I'll go with 22K.

Not trying to make too much of this, but since I was there I thought I'd chip in and say that attendance at its peak was at least a half-full stadium, maybe slightly more.

We can say what we like as fans, but the team seemed spirited and played the way you would expect them to play. I mean, they could have played like Florida, who had to go to OT to beat Florida Atlantic....

I choose not to assign any ominous significance to last night's attendance. We played an extremely weak out of conference opponent that we have no history with, i.e., not a "rival" in any way. We have a huge game coming up next week and folks saved their hard-earned dollars to do that one up right. The weather was brutal with temps about 35 and the wind-chill much lower with the strong wind (the flags were straight out all game long); and the snow was wet and soaked through jeans, socks, etc.

The team, however, was not fazed. Everyone competed their hearts out despite the meager crowd and with the exception of the late fumble, they played (and coached) pretty much error-free. The only penalty I can recall was a very inadvertent face mask foul; there were NO substitution issues or false starts or holds in the kicking game or to stall drives.

I am very glad we went to show our support.

Stretch is right. If we had been 6-3 or even 7-2 going in to last night, there would still have been tons of empty seats. Florida is ranked in the top 10, and there were chunks of empties in The Swamp yesterday. With the television experience as good as it is now, it doesn't take much persuading for people to watch from home. Throw in some nasty weather, and most won't even think about going.

Can't blame anybody for not going or not staying.

Our group stayed to the bitter end, until the band played MOKH...... just to spite 60K others, lol.

I think and the end, they could everybody left in the stadium in the recruiting room.... in fact, I wish they would have!
