Rockshow, I think we all agree that pre season rankings or in this case rankings coming out after 2-3 games is crazy and mean nothing.

I am interested on your thoughts on the new Ashbrook coach looking for some wins in the early part of the year. He is taking over a team that has gone 12-57 over the last 3 years, so I can understand him wanting to find some teams on their same level to give his kids a chance to win and get some buy into what he is trying to build there. I know coaches taking over teams that haven’t been successful for several years probably don’t want to schedule a tough non conference schedule especially if the conference has several tough teams.

I agree. Good to see South Rowan back again. My thoughts was could this be a good year for them to make a run like in 2022 when they won the 3A State title. Time will tell but should be a good year of some conference battles.

You boys took it out on them tonight. Beatings like that probably have a certain guy on Ashbrook to consider other options when it comes to baseball. I’m sure he could run your offense in football too.

Rockshow, you might be right about them never being able to win with their demographics. However I think the coach is doing the right thing by playing teams with their same demographics in their non conference schedule.

He won't be there too long. I don't know about demographics....they just don't have anybody who can play baseball. There are all kinds of "demographics" who can play baseball. I think the school itself being unstable is a big reason baseball has fallen off a shelf over there. He has half the recipe down that many take: 1) Schedule easy program wins + 2)recruit better players to come to the school.
He will find that #2 in that recipe will be near impossible to do and he will bolt.
