Silly question: Oak Grove has been considered west for many years but this projection shows them at #19 in East. Is this based on the NCHSAA just taking the top 48 overall and determining where the center line in the state of those 48 is for each year?

Now don’t get me wrong; I would love to see the projection play out (with them surprising Crest and winning for my SR) but curious how they’re considered east unless it’s based on the assumption above? That would also likely require a ton of travel for them though since they are basically in Winston-Salem…..

also RPI will obviously adjust over the next 5 games but am very curious….

Top 48 teams. 24 most east latitude go east, 24 teams west of the most eastern latitude team go west. (Vice/verse)
