I made it all the way until the predictions for FSU & Syracuse...saving that for later today. I want to say that both of you compliment one another so well...it's just a great rapport (which makes me want to listen to your podcasts). I can feel the DI vibe flowing through the podcast with the discussions.
Of course I loved the dunk sessions...great memories there. I also feel a little better about Isaiah Stewart now...don't let me down guys!;)

Keep up the great work, I certainly appreciate it, and I believe most posters on here do too. Looking forward to finishing up on the predictions.

Finished.
I'm pretty worried about the FSU game too. As 'hokie said, Duke & UNC are what they live for, and we're the only one on the menu this year at the Tucker Center. I'm still going to pick Duke to pull it out 'cause I think this team is really special, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Hokie, I was shaking my head yes when you brought up Phil Henderson’s dunk on Alonzo in 89. That one, and Grant’s in the 91 title game are the 2 signature dunks in our history.
Henderson’s for it being a skinny guard on a pretty boy, privileged school challenging and winning vs big, bad Georgetown. Grant’s set the tone for the game. Kansas knew they had nothing for that.

We need some flair added. You two are too nice to each other.

Good job. Sky said you two have faces made for radio. No idea if that’s true or not.

Also while we may agre more than disagree i am still 1-0 based on the responses from the podcast before this week in the argument for or against Jack starting.

Also thanks again for listening. We need you guys to give us critiques, ideas and suggest topics as we go.

Thanks Mac. Timo won’t argue with me because he’s afraid my inner Stephen A. will come out.

Great content as always. If you guys are trying to keep putting out content during the off-season, maybe you could do a series analyzing individual Duke seasons. I think it would be pretty interesting to hear what your preseason expectations were heading into a season, highlight key moments in the season, and maybe give us some behind the scenes information y’all may know of that isn’t common knowledge. Hearing some discussion about seasons like 99, 04, and obviously the championship seasons would be a good way to get some conversation going during the off-season.

I think doing this year round is the goal. I know when the season is over I’m starving for duke related content so this would be a way to satisfy that.

Ok so some awesome topics have come up. We have talked best buzzer beaters, mount rush, and Alex O’Connell since last night. What would you guys like to hear us talk about most of these this week OTPC?

Don't know what thread it was but I know DukieJay mentioned a connection to Danny Ferry thru a mutual friend. If you guys could follow thru to have Danny on the show, it would be a feather in your cap.....

I would suggest running that up the "advisors" flagpole and see if any of them salute it.....I havent heard Danny in a while, one of my all-time faves...

There’s a few guests and connections to guests that we’re hoping to secure that I think would be super enjoyable.

Hokie if you do get Danny Ferry thru DukieJay I think it would be some fascinating conversation! The Duke- UNC battles in the late 80s had a spicy personal rivalry between Danny and the cheats J.R. Reid. There was also the memorable "Triple Crown" of the 1988 season where we beat the cheats 3 times! Danny still holds the individual game scoring record w/58 vs Miami on the road, obviously long before the Canes joined the league! I am of the opinion if Danny was on the show he might lead you as a liaison to other former Blue Devils! Good Luck!!! #LetsGetCuse

One could only hope. I heard Kenny Dennard is really open to doing these things if you can get a hold of him.

Another great episode. You guys are playing with my emotions. Heard Timo say that all initial reports look good and we may have dodged a bullet and was pumped and then Hokie saying that he is rooting for this not to be the end of our season and I can feel that pit in my stomach again......But good stuff

I’m just fired up. I’m hoping we get Tre back, but I’m tired of hearing that this is the end of our season. ESPN is already selling our chances of advancing in March. Let’s get these Hoos on Saturday man!

Good listen guys. Enjoyed the comparison on which team from the past that matches up with adversity we now face. I guess I’m getting old, for some reason I didn’t remember Hurley being out so long, or being worried that he wasn’t coming back, but the situation does compare well. The reason I said 01 was that the guys replacing Boozer, Sanders and Love, were not nearly what he was, and the “experts” wrote us off. The guys asked to play now, Alex and maybe Jordan, haven’t proven themselves either.

Thanks Mac.

I don’t hate the ‘01 comparison at all. It’s just the amount of time he was out and the position he played didn’t match as well as the Hurley situation in my mind.

Hurley only missed a couple games I believe (hopefully the same is true for Tre), but I know it felt like a huge blow. They released, after some agitation, that he’d only miss 3 weeks but was dicey early. With Boozer it felt worse since it happened right before the tournament, but losing Bobby is as big as losing Tre.
