Thought UK had to have the USM game to get 6 wins, so know I'm down to 5 - 7. I thought at the start of the year UK could outscore teams, but after giving up 44 pts to USM AND getting shutout in the 2nd half, I'm not sure that UK can lineup and outscore enough opponents now.

Coming in, I was at 6-6 and 7-5 as a best case scenario.

5-7? What exactly makes you think we can win 5 games? I think 4 is our upper limit, AP, NMSt, and two of SC, Vandy, MSU, Mizz. But honestly, we'll find a way to go 1-3 against those teams because we're Kentucky and that's what we do.
4-8 may be the best this bunch can muster,we are just about where we started when Stoops got here.I really don't believe that is an unrealistic view,we may have more talent at some positions but where we stack up in the college football world has changed very little

It's already ugly. 2016 is basically a wash at this point, the odds are very very against us for a bowl game. Now we get to play 11 games for almost no reason, shed recruits, and keep a lame duck coach only because we can't afford to pay him $12-15 million to go away. We enter 2017 with no good DL, and questions still on the OL. Commonwealth is going to be a graveyard come December.
I too was a 6-6 guy but that was based on winning 6 of 7 winnable games. As Jekyll-Hyde as UK was against USM, Vandy, SC, MSU and Mizzou did not demonstrate they moved to the "unbeatable" category. So 6-6 is still possible but the 1 game error margin is gone in week 1. Beginning this weekend, a lot will depend on "attitude". But that defense looks "unfixable" and is going to put A LOT of pressure on the offense to "score more points". JMO

Yes and while they're may be improvement happening with UK fball, it's happening everywhere else as well and obviously at a more rapid rate at many places. That's what's frustrating.
Before the season I said 5-7 and 4-8 if we lose to USM. And my stance stays the same. Everything that has happened I predicted and expected. No surprises here. I've known for a good while that stoops is hot garbage ever since he hired an OC who had never called plays at the D-1 Level in his entire life. Whoever thought it was a good idea that we give someone who had never called a play at the D-1 level a play calling job in the SEC straight up has problems between the ears. Then he lost to that same OC who he had fired. These have been my sentiments for a couple years now. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Every offseason I get blasted for being right about how bad we are. Then the season comes and unfortunately I'm always right laughing at these fools who think stoops is something special. Nothing more than a steaming pile of poo.

I thought 6-6 or 7-5 was our ceiling, now I'm hoping for 4-8. It's best to let things play out though, USC, Vandy, Miss St., or Mizzou may have lost H2H vs. USM, had they played.
