Honest question, what does 6 and 6 do for us? I know we will be in a bowl game, but had this program really improved in 4 years. Just wanting everyones opinion on what they think going to a bowl game will do to improve this program

Most of our fans are just happy to be 6-6. That's fine. I'm not.
It buys Stoops one more year and that's all that it should buy him. If UK is in the same situation next year, battling for 6-6 then it's time to cut bait and get someone who can get us over the top.
Me, neither. I've had this discussion with family. If 6 and 6 and Music City fires you up.....then good for you. It does absolutely nothing for me.
Boycott the Toilet Bowl in my opinion. Stoops has had his chance to show us something. He had his chance to win back the fan base. I see more of the same next season.
I will acknowledge 6-6 is a step in the right direction but having said that the SEC east was down big time this year which allowed UK to obtain that record. A good quarterback is key going forward and my determine Stoops future at UK.

I want to see at least 8 win seasons or there is no reason to keep any coach. This SECE is so sorry right now even a bad Ky is winning. What does that tell you? It tells me there has to be progress or a change to make progress.
I like Stoop's and think he is a great guy, but great guy's are not the answer we were looking for. He probably deserves next year and that's it with me. Good guy's finish last all the time, for what

Bring home some beef up front for the D and we are good. Bring in a top notch QB and we are set for good O for several years, Keep doing the same old crap and we go nowhere.

This is about right..
1. It gets us something to sell and keep our current recruiting class...which is decent and has a few DL that could upgrade our biggest concern which is bad Front 7 on D. The biggest issue for Stoops and UK is continual upgrade in talent level...if we were to pull a 2-4 win season..our decent recruits would bail and we'd be back to the abysmal talent level at UK before Stoops got here.
2. It get us 20 extra practices...which we need for Hoak, Kenegra Daniel, Eli Brown (he was awful today), TJ Carter, Marcus Walker, etc..
3. It buys us an extra year of Stoops and avoids an absurd buyout of his awful contract. If he pulls up lame next year...we can fire him and not eat that huge of a contract to afford a new coach.
Is it better or worse than what we have went to the last 6 seasons?
Stoops choking against Vandy and Au last year and against FL the year before make 6-6 look a lot better than it is. If this was our 3rd straight 6-6 type season people would be saying "when are we taking the next step" but because Stoops couldn't win 6 either of the last two years like we should have it looks good to some.
It rewards these kids which is good. They put a lot of time and effort for this. Glad for them.

This. I've never seen so many posters po'd that UK will win 6 and go to a bowl giving Stoops another year.
I don't think I've ever agreed with a post more than this one. We'll most likely finish 6-6 and it seems that the majority of posters on this board are overjoyed. I'm with you MrLair.
6-6 gives these players more time on the practice field and one more game. The extra time should help progress the younger guys. It will give the freshman more time to get accumulated to the system and speed of the game. It should also help with building some more chemistry.
Hopefully it gives them some momentum heading into the off-season. Knowing they were so close and could have had a couple more wins. That should put a chip on their shoulders to bust a$$ and get a lot better.
